Most of the time I have no favorites, but today, my favorite artist is a makeup artist whose name I never learned, but who worked with the extras on the movie set where I worked yesterday. She accomplished with eyeliner and twenty seconds what takes me five minutes and four shades of eyeshadow to do every day. I looked great and felt confident for the entire 6am-to-midnight movie shoot.

I like Albert Bierstadt. He painted some very beautiful paintings of the American West.

Louis Wain. He was a schizophrenic who painted nothing but cats. His work varied from cute, cartoony sketches of cats playing tennis and having tea...all the way to bizarre, frightening, kaleidoscopic images that only vaguely resemble cats at all.

I do love the detail in this picture, though.

Yoshitaka Amano is one: and Steinlein: Those are the first couple that come to mind. I love Monet, too. And French Neoclassic painters. ...and that's just the painters. sweatdrop

Peter Blake. His Pop art work was to notch among British artists in that era. I love his style of spatiality. It feels like every crack in the picture has been filled with vibrant colours or deeply symbolic items. My favourite work of his is "Face Dances" for The Who.
