Kara hurried up to the tree brushing her hand against it, she looked back at the other two briefly before looking back at the three. She hoped it worked just the same way.
She knocked three times on the rune, there was a small creak, it was like for a moment in time the land was just a painting and a door opened up not only where the tree was but a part of the air was well.
"Tree wasn't big enough large enough for the door," Kara murmrued opening it, "This way."

"After you," Donovan motion to Serenity with his arm.
It was kind of wierd to see as they had always normally put the doors on full walls, but well...

Serenity blinked at the odd looking space, then took a quick glance at Kara and Donovan for reassurance. A moment later, she stepped forward and ... vanished.

Donovan watched before entering the portal himself, and since he would be the last one to enter he would get the chance to close the 'door' behind him after he was done.
