I could abuse this oppurtunity and force a full blown review on you, and if anyone has seen my Trainer Log on Atomic Taco's board, you know it would be a very long review. I'll try and condense it all down into a mini-review.

Adventure. Friendship. A world that seems to revolve around c**k fighting. The basic components of Pokemon. It's been many years since Red, Green, and Blue graced our gameboys. The Pokemon franchise has evolved. And the actual Pokemon have too. Some have called Diamond and Pearl, "The Gold and Silver" of the Advanced Generation of games.

Anyways, (avoiding big review) They did a great job. The GTS has made the gimmick that sold pokemon back during the dark ages when Everybody liked it, suddenly useable again. Trading is easier than ever. Though it would have...

Grr... Can't write small reviews...

The battles are more competetive. The new moves fit well. It really feels like Pokemon is accepting the existance of Competiveness now. The Poketch is incredible. It's probably my favorite thing about DP. Sinnoh is large, and rather unique, and during my first play through up to the E4, I kept getting distracted, and finding small menial things to prevent me from going after my next Gym Badge. ( For god's sake, my starter was fully evolved before I even left Eterna, the city with the second gym! ) This version includes almost 500 pokemon, and...

Grr... Unless I go all out, I'll never be able to go over everything. It had most of what I want, and tweaked things that didn't work very well, but there were still missing factors, and things they really didn't use to the fullest extent.

8.8/10

If you really want to know more about how I feel about the game(I know you don't) then check out my Trainer Log, updated almost every day.

From what I've seen so far, it's very challenging. neutral There's so much stuff to do, I can't really tell where the end is, and what worries me is if there's a time limit on the game. How far do the hours go?

Are you kidding me? It's 8 Badges, and then the E4, like every other pokemon game. The levels of Gym Leaders and what not have only increased from past gens because the length in between gyms is slightly longer.

Even the Pokedex seems easier to fill.

Time Limit? Are you crazy? The clock maxes out at 999 Hours, 59 minutes, but they would never stop you from playing. The play clock would just stop going up.

Badges, Elite Four, and PokéDex are the basics. I also meant getting a specific of a Pokémon through breeding or restarting the game, raising their stats to the best it can be, Contests, catching a shiny of each Pokémon, collecting the items, and who knows what else there is. Someone who goes about like that would consider the game to be one of the longest to complete.

Collecting the items on the ground is what you do when you first progressed through the game. That should be done and over with. You might pick up ones you missed later.

Breeding is as easy as it was in Emerald, plus there are more pokemon, so breeding chains for Egg moves were shortened in a few places.

When you say raising stats to the best they can be, do you mean IV training, or just getting a pokemon to level 100? Getting a pokemon to 100 is very easy, not that it's needed anymore.

Contests, gueh, I guess might take a while. I didn't like them in R/S/E, and I like them even less now. I can't even make Poffin.

Catching a shiny is not a task. It's luck. The unconfirmed rumour that the Pokeradar makes pokemon more likely to be shiny is the only thing that can be gone on for that.

Reaching lvl. 100 with max stats and EV Training.

Like I said, very easy. However, reaching level 100 doesn't feel quite as rewarding anymore, because of WiFi's Level altering. You can Ev train, and bring the pokemon straight to Wifi. I've only bothered to get my Breloom and Drapion to Level 100 for local battles.

Maxing out ALL Stats? So you think it's natural to get perfect Ivs on a pokemon? It's almost impossible.

But Maxing out the important ones doesn't take too long.

Trying to perfect everything would make it long. Someone really determined to make everything perfect before saying the game's finished would go through that.
