If I get Flash, I'll make a video for this song. But... it wont be quite like your suggestions...
When I heard the start, I thought of a little metal music box, which, as the handle cranks itself, slowly comes open and all these intracate black structures fold out, eventually revealing a giant mechanical raven's head which unfolds itself (the beak kind of opens four ways, creaking open normally to each of those squarking noises and then finally springing all four ways) to reveal a passage down into the core of the music box, which the camera zooms down.
Inside the music box are thousands of stained-glass windows, the first being round and a deep bottle green. As the vocals start, we notice that some of the panes have started moving - they form a near-frozen 2D, trapped reaching for the next window, his mouth and eyes the only parts of him which can move. And the rest of the video flicks through various mechanical apparatus and different windows - so far I've planned a picturesque scene overlooking a hill with a child's swing, and a dark, spider-webby one for Murdoc.
But, uh. Yeah. What do you think? It's not a silly or nonsensical story like the original videos, and it's not a story, but... it's my take on it. By the way, your ideas are all pretty cool too. ^.^ Heh, if enough of us ever got Flash, we should hold a Gorillaz music video competition.
I love the Gorillaz songs which combine distorted or modern sounds with peaceful, or more traditional music (such as "Left Hand Suzuki Method", "Clint Eastwood", "HongKongaton"...) and "O Green World" is masterful in this.

I've always had this image in my head of some really beautiful scenery (like a forest, or something very green along those lines) next to some really ugly scenery, like a landfill or abandoned city (gray/brown and colors like that).
Nothing much more distinct than that, though.

At first I think of a videogame, but when Albarn comes in with the vocals and the rest of the song, (or 2D. Whatever xP...) I think of a forest aswell.

Yeah, and at the end, when they have the bell ringing, I think of like, dead scenery.
Not like a graveyard or anything, but something completely devoid of organic material. Like a city, but you can't see any of the people. And usually with a dark grey feeling.
I 'unno if I'm makin' much sense. I don't gennerally think in words, so it can be a little difficult to tell people what's on my mind.

For some odd reason, I think about a polluted ocean with squid-like creatures swimming through it, most likely effected by radioactive waste(I probably get that from the bloop-bloop part). A old man looks at the ocean from the beach, disgusted and disappointed by what has become of both. He flashbacks as a young boy who used to surf on the waves at the beach and many other memories he had there. He is grateful that his memories hasn't become polluted as the ocean and hopes that it won't become polluted as well and that one day the beach will be lively again.
Of course, this is sound-wise, not lyrics-wise. Ironic, isn't it?

That's quite detailed. For some reason I think of dreary, rainy, skies. Except no rain falling down, just the grey clouds.
