Well whoever says such a statement is obviously either:
1, upset because a girl beat them
2. not really takiing a good look at girls who do play games
3.the stereotypical types
they need another girl to come and beat them in a game.

Okay I know I've been gone for a while and I also know that not many mods here post, but I gotta draw the line somewhere, and I would think Celes would agree.
Groovin Magic, your post of "It's not their fault, most of you are ugly. It's like...you don't exercise, you have no sense of fashion, you're white as the clouds on a sunny day, you have no class...same goes for the gamer guys. Sorry if that sounds harsh but it pisses me off when I see a girl who has the potential to be a beautiful girl but they just trash themselves and dress like they just got their clothes from the goodwill or somethin. If you don't like the stereotype then do something about it...stop being ugly." is out of line.
I encourage everyone to say their opinions about certain things, our guild would certainly not be the same if we didn't have your opinions. But that went very overboard and slightly offensive to just about everyone in this guild. I will not tolerate any post like that what so ever, hence why after I post this I will be deleting your post from this thread. I would encourage you to not post anything that offensive again, otherwise I will take more of an action to it, thank you.

They just don't want to accept the fact that girls could be as equally good at a game to a guy
One utter loser (a guy) that i hate was talking to me about this girl he's friends with..his words were
"it's so weird though....she loves games....likes star wars..and IS REALLY PRETTY, it's weird"

Every girl gamers that I know are very pretty.
I think this is a very dumb sterotype like the sterotypes about gamers in general having bad acne, no tans, wearing glasses, and so on.

i'm a game..i've been to the Games Convention XD *was almost the only girl*
but I'm not ugly,for sure. it's just.. REal gamers do nothing else than sitting on the PS,PC,GC whatever..they don't make sports or sumthin like that, so they get fat (->ugly)
that's my theory.. If i wouldnt make any sports i'd get fat too xD

But my friend is a gamer... his girlfriend is also a gamer... But his girlfriend is not ugly at all... on the contrary she is one of the most beautiful girls i've ever met.
I honestly think this steriotype is dumb.

Here's my opinion on the matter...
1. Stereotypes are a bunch of BS
2. Everybody has their own beauty(whether people think they are beautiful or not)
3. Everybody has feelings and shouldn't be judged on by the way they look!

Its a ridiculous stereotype. I mean, just b/c we play games doesn't make us ugly. It doesn't mean we use videogames as a means to escape the fact that we're unattractive, or want to hide from the world. Its just something we like to do. If anything I think our passion for games makes us even more beautiful!

Agent Spin I think there are some ugly gamers and some pretty ones, just like there are some pretty and ugly athletes, some pretty and ugly doctors, some pretty and ugly taxi drivers, and jsut about everyone else in the world. There really isn't any specific job or label that always has pretty people or ugly people, since its all just a matter of opinion on how ugly/pretty someone is, anyway. Well said. It don't matter if a gamer is pretty or ugly(well in my mind no woman is ugly.) they can still hand the guys asses on a sliver platter... <3 X3

I think it has a lot to do with how girl gamers are portrayed in movies. I guess it's kind of like the stereotype that all nerds have to look like Steve Urkel.

Anywho, yes, it's an irritating stereotype. Guys are usually shocked that I game (and something other than RPGs, no less!). I just love how all the companies are trying to market things that would "bring the female population into gaming." Bah, I say! We're already here! Just because we aren't always as vocal about it as guys doesn't mean we don't exist. Besides, what does it matter what we look like? It's all about the skills, baby! rofl
