So someone posted up what they have written of a novel they're writing...so it gave me an urge to do that same. xD

Prologue: The Arrival
Blood curdling screams and the stench of blood and decaying bodies filled the air as a woman slowly came to. She groaned softly as she made her way onto her hands and knees and struggled to stand up on her feet. She failed miserably at her attempts and settled with sitting on her knees as she took in her surroundings.
The area she was in was a large circular dome-like room. The walls and ceiling seemed to be decorated with hundreds of bloody human bones, and there seemed to be feathers caked in blood that were stuck to some parts of the walls and ceiling. The floor was a dark marble that chilled her numbing legs.
She looked behind her to see an archway with many intricate carvings along the columns. The strange thing was that where the passageway below the archway was supposed to be was just a wall. The woman tilted her head in confusion, wondering where she had entered the room from if not from there. She sighed softly and tried getting up once more, this time succeeding.
Footsteps alerted the woman of another's presence.
