I love comic books and better I love those snazy villans with their cool outfits and well bottom line, our hero's need them. Let's face it; Hero's get all the attention and although heroes are okay, they wouldn't have a lot to do without super-villains to chase and protect the city from.
This thread is dedicated to comic super villans where I will post information about some villans you may or may not know, or some villans you perhaps never even heard of.
Information references will include: Marvel.com DCcomics.com Wikipedia.com geocites.com
Other references posted as I use them.
Without further adu, I bring you The Villans!
P.s. feel free to add on yourself. Post your favorite supervillan. Chat is welcome as long as it's about supervillans...Any comic books are ok. No Manga though. That should be for another thread.

Well I'm going to start with my favorite super villan of all times,
Spidermans Venom

Real Name: Edward “Eddie” Brock (cuz he was the main one and my favorite) Occupation: Former journalist for the Daily Globe Identity: Known to legal authorities Legal Status: Citizen of the United States with a criminal record Other Aliases: None Place of Birth: New York City, New York Marital Status: Single Known Relatives: None First Appearance: (as alien costume) SECRET WARS #8, (behind the scenes) WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #18, (actual appearance) AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #300
The symbiote came to Earth with Spider-Man, at the end of the Marvel Secret Wars. Soon, the symbiote began to take over Spider-Man. It was rejected, and later found and bonded with Eddie Brock, a journalist at the Daily Bugle, and later Mac Gargan, the former Scorpion. -wikipedia
The symbiote first comes to earth with Spiderman after fighing a war in another planet waged by the godlike charactor called the Beyonder. While in battle Spiderman damages his suit and has it replaced by this machine he believed to be a fabric replicator. Shortly after returning to Earth he realizes that the suit has a mind of it's own. Peter soon learned that the symbiote was sensitive to sound and with the help of the Fantastic Four he was able to get it off. Contained at the Fantastic Four headcourters the symbiote eventually escapes and makes it's way back to Peter's home. Peter broke the symbiote's hold on him, by using the loud sounds in a church bell-tower. Peter watched sliter away assuming it would die in it's weaken state, but instead fell down upon Eddie Brock who was in the church praying.
Eddie Brock was a journalist for the daily bugal who blamed peter parker for humiliating him by debuking his hit headline The Sin-Eater which in turn ruined his carreer. Sensing this hate for spiderman the symbiote quickly bonded with Eddie. After switching back and forth between fighting spiderman or sometimes even helping him exclaim Brock sold the symbiote to Don Fortunado after discovering he had cancer, and although the symbiote would of kept him alive, deep down inside he had this great will to do something good before he died. He donated the money he recieved from the symbiote to many charities.
Other hosts:

The symbiote bonded with Eddie's ex-wife on two occasions. The first occasion was when she was shot by a second Sin-Eater. They symbiote bonded with Anne on on Eddie's insistance to save her. She eventually kills two thugs while infected with the sybiote, and immidiatly regrets it. The second time bonded was when she was used by the police as bait to lure in her ex-husband. These instances were tramatic for Anne and later comits suicide.
arrow Angelo Fortunato was the second venom but only for a breif time, as he was humiliating for they symbiote as he lost terribly in a battle with spiderman. The symbiote abandonded Angelo while he was swinging between buildings and the fall killed him.

arrow (picture above)Mac Gargan was the third venom, who in the end was also a humiliation for the symbiote as he was also defeted by spiderman in battle. The symbiote ended up taking over his body mostly as Gargan retained very little of his personality and was mainly controlled by the symbiote. When the organism was dormant in his body he expressed fear of the symbiote within him.

My Favorite female villan and who I would love to cosplay as one day:
Harley Quinn:

Dr. Harleen Quinzel was a psychiatrist, who was suduced by the Joker while at Arkham Assylum doing an internship. She found herself attracted to the Joker and managed to persuade her boss to allow her to conduct therapy sessions with him. She ended up being the one getting the therapy, the Joker manipulated Harleen tugging at her heart's desire and telling her exactly what she wanted to hear. After one of his escapes she snapped - turned to crime to win the JOker's love, stole some greasepaint and a costume and called herself Harley Quinn.
She was first debuted in the Batman animated series in 1992. (episode 22) In 1994 a grafic novel called Mad Love recounts the charactor's origin. Harely Quinn was more of a sidekick than a supervillan herslef. According to the Novel Quin decides that the only to win the Joker's heart was to kill BAtman, which she attempts by feeding him to a school of pirahnas. She falls in and out of love with the Joker due to Batman's interferance and his tecnique of telling her the truth about the Joker and how her "puddin'" didn't love her at all. She commited crimes to prove her worth to the Joker, but the Joker in the end always kicked out.
Harely Quin has a freindship with Poision Ivy, and in an instance when Harley was injured in a museum robbery, Poision Ivy takes her in and nurses her back to health and injects her with serums that give Harley an immunity to all toxins and poisons. It also dramatically increases her strength and speed. Harely and Ivy team up for several chapters becoming Gotham City's "Queens of Crime" Their partnership quickly ended once the Joker took Harley back in and falling in love with him again, she quickly forgives him on the stop and serves as his lieutenant throught the rest of the storyline.
Harley's relationship with the Joker is one of the most complex and controversial in the DC Universe. While he often degrades and hurts her, sometimes near the point of death, there are many instances that show a mutually affectionate side to their bizarre relationship. Certain episodes imply that the Joker wrestles with the extremely vexing idea of actually caring for someone exclaim -wikipedia Their relationship was a constant rollercoster ride. Powers: arrow Enhanced Abilities: Harley’s Strength, Agility and Endurance have all been enhanced by Poison Ivy’s herbal medicine. arrow Resistances: Harley is immune to almost all toxins thanks to Poison Ivy’s herbal medicine. arrow Equipment: Harley usually carries at least one handgun with which she is skilled at using. -rapsheet.com/uk

My fave villain is batman's Joker. It's fun guessing where he came from, because so many don't know.Someone told me his family died, he was a failed comedian, and he fell into a vat of acid. Then he went mad. Is that the truth? stare

Is that the truth? stare That origin story was in Alan Moore's "The Killing Joke." It is unclear whether or not that is what actually happened. It is possible that that is actually what happened. It is also possible that the Joker invented that for himself as a possibility of what might have happened, since he had become so insane that he might not even be able to remember.
