I can't even believe my topic was revised.. anyways, i was readin through some of the posts from a while back, and i'd like to comment on something I read, but oddly enough can't find at teh moment.. sweatdrop . Someone had posted about Christains not being made fun of much, like how it used to be.

Well, unfortunetly, they are. In my school alone, people mock the name of Jesus Christ. The other day, in my Modern World History class we were talking about how you would want to be remembered when you die (aka: legacy). Someone shouted out 'Jesus Freak' in a very serious way, and the whole class laughed at him. The kid was dead serious though, and I can say nothing more then good job.

It's not jsut schools though, it's places like homes or work or even the supermarket.

I have some more to add, from Matthew, and i'll post it when I get the chance.

definitely. It probably just depends on where people are. non-believers and christians are not always around each other so often. but I've got a handful of non-christian frineds and I have always gotten grief for my faith to this day.

I have that same problem flineagle. Most of the friends I hang out with (in fact, 80% of them) are not Christains. I get made fun of by them a lot for the way I am. It's really sad how the people who are supposed to be your friends can't accept who I am. sad

In Revelations, it mentions something about a giant locust(?). The thing it describes is strangely simmilar to a certain type of fighter helicoper. I'll get back with more info later. I'm going to research that a bit more.

A friend of mine thought the same thing.

yeh and when we try to share information that will save their souls they just tell us to shut up or go away... but that's why we can always pray. Its not for us to save them anyways, we're just God's tools and He never said life would be easy if you are christian.

its not necessarily about good and bad. we don't get into heaven by being good, but by the blood of Jesus.

Interesting, that's something I've never thought of before...

What I've been hearing lately is about how during the cold war, Christians weren't worried at all, there is no mention in the Bible of mankind exterminating itself. I thought that was kinda cool, I think it was Billy Graham who was talking about this. Anyway, i also heard about the Anti-Christ being alive today. Somewhere on earth, the anti-christ is lying in wait, whether he knows it or not. eek

I found this on Wikipedia when i searched Anti Christ, it gave me the possible Anti Christs...

Candidates for the Antichrist have been men in virtually all positions of public influence. The choices made probably say more about the political prejudices of the people making them than anything else. Among the modern candidates, Prince William, Britain's future King, King Juan Carlos of Spain, George W. Bush[8] Sam Walton[citation needed], Bill Gates, Adolf Hitler, Marilyn Manson, Rafael Garcia, Kim II Sung, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia [citation needed], Napoleon, Joseph Stalin, Nelson Mandela[citation needed], Eddie Maguire, various Popes or the Roman Catholic Church, the World Council of Churches, and recent Presidents of the United States. Since the September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attack, theories about Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, Condoleezza Rice[citation needed], Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hillary Clinton[citation needed], Daniel Gaal or d**k Cheney being the Antichrist have been put forward. Ronald Wilson Reagan was thought to be the Antichrist by some because his first, middle, and last names each have six letters. Apocalyptic Christians such as Herb Peters and Constance E. Cumbey point to Javier Solana, and others believe that the Antichrist will arise from the European Union and seize presidential power of it ([9]). Others say the state of Israel will be the state of which the Antichrist will become the president-ruler. Again some have said the United Nations to be the medium of establishing the reign of Antichrist.

German philosopher and son of Lutheran pastor, Friedrich Nietzsche, called himself the Antichrist. He even went as far as to write a book called The Antichrist (book). His later philosophy was based on the Dionysian aspects of individuals. In his famous first book, The Birth of Tragedy, he wrote this pasage: "As a philologist and man of words, I baptized it, taking some liberties (for who knew the correct name for the Antichrist?), after the name of a Greek god: I called it the Dionysian."

In addition certain occultists and Satanists have proclaimed themselves to be the Antichrist, including John Whiteside Parsons. The Antichrist is a popular archetype for villain

Just out of curiousity, i was wondering if people had some words that they'd like to share about how we might be very close to when Jesus is coming back. 3nodding

WHO CARES. Why do you want to spend time worrying about when Jesus is coming. Even he doesn't know when he is coming back so why worry. I konw were I will be going so I wont waste my time with when he comes back.

The important thing is that we live every day like He is coming back tomorrow.

The end times are coming. The signs are all around us. It says in the bible there will be wars and choas, the next thing to happen is that someone will come who everyone will love and will make peace. (I'm not quoting directly from the bible becase I don't have it with me right now. n_n wink
