Like many traditions, it's become a personal choice based more upon who you worship with than any one scripture. If it brings you closer to God to cover your head, then by all means do so. I don't feel the need, but I don't think less of women who find it helps them feel closer to God. Anything that helps in that direction is good, so long as others don't try to make an issue of it.

`Kel` Yeah, a womans hair is her glory. Not Gods. It dosnt say a womans hair is Gods glory. If it said that a womans hair is Gods glory I would agree and think differently. That just means women are really really serious about how thier hair looks. Why would we have to "cover this glory" anyways? Its not Gods glory. Its ours, and how much is ours worth compaired Gods? I've heard the verse your mentioning before I dont know exactally where it is, telling me its in 1 corinthians is very vague... Again I mean no disrespect, I like to discuss scripture. 1 Corinthians 11:1-16:
"Be ye imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ. Now I praise you that ye remember me in all things, and hold fast the traditions, even as I delivered them to you. But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoreth his head. But every woman praying or prophesying with her head unveiled dishonoreth her head; for it is one and the same thing as if she were shaven. For if a woman is not veiled, let her also be shorn: but if it is a shame to a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be veiled. For a man indeed ought not to have his head veiled, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.[/color] For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man: for neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man: for this cause ought the woman to have a sign of authority on her head, because of the angels. Nevertheless, neither is the woman without the man, nor the man without the woman, in the Lord. For as the woman is of the man, so is the man also by the woman; but all things are of God. Judge ye in yourselves: is it seemly that a woman pray unto God unveiled? Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a dishonor to him? But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. But if any man seemeth to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God." the orange bit states that Jesus is the head of every man and that man is the head of every women.the blue bit states that man being 'the image and glory of God' should not cover but because women are 'the glory of men' they must cover-for themselves and symbolically for their men.paul was an educated man and he was also punning on the terms 'head'- the physical head of women and the symbolic head of men.the green bit emphesis this.
