Access to Abortion Services Act, 1996So for "sidewalk counseling", protesting, harrassment of doctors/patients, etc. where pertaining to abortion is illegal and may be punished with, on first offence, a fine of up to $5000 and/or six months in prison, and on subsequent offences a fine of $1000 - $10,000 as well as possibly up to a year in prison.
I think this is a good move. Women should not be forcibly coerced or physically stopped from obtaining an abortion. This is their choice and no one else has the right to intervence.
