Mike raised his head from the books, hearing Icea by the door.
"Icea, are you okay? I'll get you some ice!"
He yelled out, waiting a moment for her reply,
but then he just stood up and went to the fridge.
He pulled out a bag of ice, that he had for emergency.
Did she hear?
Oh my god, what if she did.
He walked pretty fast to his own bedroom,
knocking on the door politely.
"Icea, are you decent? Can I come in?"
He said toward the door, tapping his foot against the floor.

Icea had her forehead laying against the wall, next to the door, still sucking her finger.
She didn't reply to him, hoping either he'd leave and she wouldn't have to explain or he'd just... open the door. She sighed loudly, staring at the floor.
Why do I have to be so dumb sometimes..?
What will I do if he finds out I was listening...
Icea's eyes slightly started to glaze over, his words repeated over in her mind, blocking everything else out, making her vision hazy.
"She's just totally out of my league..."
She blinked a few times, trying to clear her vision.
"She's just amazing..."
"I care about her.."

"Uhmm.. Well, okay. I take that as a 'no'.
I'll leave the ice outside the door. If you hurt yourself - take it."
Mike said, looking at his feet.
He waited a moment, just to see if she'd reply.
He then sighed, the blush still covering his face,
as he put the bag of ice by his door.
He then walked toward the window, and started singing quietly on a small melody.
Mike had a very warm singingvoice, pretty deep and calming.
He wasn't very fond of singing in the open, because he was shy.
"Hey there Delilah,
I've got so much left to say.
If every single song I wrote to you would take your breath away,
I'd write it all.

The last part was a quiet mumble.
He sighed.
Will she ever be mine to hold?

Icea stood there for a minute or two, thinking.
She finally decided to open the door.
Picking up the bag of ice and placing it around her finger, she shamelessly walked over to the couch and sat down. Mike's shirt was pretty short on her, but at least it covered her butt. She sat with her back against the arm of the couch, pulling his shirt over her knees.
"So.. you like to sing too?"

He turned his head toward the couch and smiled at her.
"Only sometimes, and not in the open usually.
'too'? You like singing?"
He now walked to the couch, and sat on the other end.
He leaned his back against the arm of the couch, now looking straight at her with his curious eyes.

Icea laid the side of her head on the back of the couch, yawning.
"I used to like to sing..." a slight smile come to her, then slowly faded away with a sigh. "But not ever since Josh left... He used to... sing to me."
It was getting hard to keep her eyes open now, but the chilling feel of the bag of ice helped keep her awake.
Her eyes slowly closed. "So... you can speak another language? Sorry... but I kind of over heard you speaking oddly so I was curious."
Forcing her heavy eye lids open, she softly looked up at Mike.

Mike wanted to hear more about that Josh guy,
but he didn't want to force Icea to stay awake.
He saw how tired she was, and it made him smile some,
thinking that she looked so sleepy, and in a way a bit childish.
"Swedish. It's like.. If you know how Europe looks, it's in the north.
I've got a friend there. He moved with his girlfriend.. I got kind of bummed, but I've got to learn swedish! Even though he says I suck at it."
Mike laughed, hoping to get a smile out of Icea that was leaning her head
toward the back of the couch, as if she was to fall asleep at any moment.

Icea briefly smiled, to let Mike know she heard and understood him, but she didn't say anything. She was too tired to find her voice for the moment.
Her eyelids slowly fluttered shut as she nuzzled the couch and whined.
"So... Are you going to go to bed now..?" she whispered, curling her legs closer to herself.

"Actually.. I wanted to take a walk.
Only down to the lake.."
He walked across the dorm to the door, but stopped before he opened it.
"You are welcome to join, Icea. The lake's a perfect place to talk."
He turned around, and he smiled a little bit.
"But on the other hand, you seem tired. And I don't want to ceep you up."
His smile faded away quickly, but he cept looking at her,
searching for some type of answer in her eyes.
