I mentioned a book to Rebel_Dynasty that would go under 'Pagan Fiction', and, to tell the truth, I can't seem to find many of them, so I thought we could all put together a list of Pagan fiction books that we've enjoyed!

*brought out one of her oversized books of reference* Ok, here are some you might not know about: Alraune by Hanns Heinz Ewers about the mandrake myth and scientific discovery.
Burn, Witch, Burn by Abraham Merritt about detectives coming across a witch in a murder mystery, has mafia, and Vodou.
La Celestina by ? maybe Fernando de Rojasabout a witch in the Inquisition days in Spain who basically rules the streets.HIGHLY RECOMEND! It seems like a cool plot.
The Conjure-Man Dies by Rudolph Fisherabout an out of the ordinary psychist, the African King, N'Gana Frimbo, dies suddenly and his clients are suspitious. Great mystery, I wanna find it along with La Celestina.

I went to the bookstore today and picked up a couple things, some random fantasy books and then I stumbled upon "Sweep"
Sweep is a series of books about a girl becoming Wiccan and though parts of it are fantasy, it captured my attention and made me smile. So, I grabbed the lot that I could find and bought them, here are the titles:
Book of Shadows The Coven Bloodwitch Dark Magick Awakening Spellbound
All by Cate Tiernam. It says there are fourteen books, at least, so far, but I couldn't find any of the others. Once I do, I'll put those up here too.

I just finished reading that book like a week ago. I personally loved it. The Sweep series was also really good, as well as Cate Tiernan's other series which is also Wicca based.... I can't think of the name of the series at the moment and don't feel like running upstairs to look. All I remember is that there's only 4 books in this series. They're all good though.

Aren't those books like horror books? I read the cover of one and it scared me. *hides* I'm one of those people that can't take any sort of normal scary things, but I'm not scared of other things, like death. That fact in itself is scary.

to MeakoSneezes:
The Sweep series you mean? No, when I first looked at the cover it looked like some sort of weird horror story, but nothing really scared me in it and I hate scary movies, etc... A few times I got really angry about some of the stuff side characters did (but then I get very involved in books, crying along, etc) but other than that I thought it was a good series, so far anyway.
to dark_angel:
I think that series is called Balefire, am I right? I want to look into those, haven't had the time yet. I like the titles though. 3nodding

I've recently found a series of four books called: Wicked by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie. The first book was okay, some of the things were interesting, though untrue, until the very end, when everything seemed to happen at once. I've gotten about half way through the second book, but I had to stop when they began to talk about sacrificing cats. People have died in the book series already, but for some reason, something about the wording made me stop and want to gag. I honestly don't know if I WANT to finish this series, I don't think I recommend it.

The other ones by Jean Thesman. I liked this book a lot. It is about a girl trying to decide if she should accept her pagan nature.
I will put more here when I think of them.
