Red tailed Shark

Scientific name:Epalzeorhynchos bicolor
Size:Up to 5" (12.5cm)
Temperature: 72-79oF
pH:6.5-7.0

Diet:They will eat almost any flake/freeze-dried food, and some live foods such as tubafex worms. Vegtables in diet is recommended
Behavior:This fish is very territorial and can be aggressive, particularly towards its own species, but also to others, especially similar-looking species.
Note: It is recommended NOT to keep for then one of these in a tank. While good for most community tanks, having more then one shark, or even other red-tailed species ( Example: tiger barbs ) will make it aggressive. Also a heavily planted tank is recommended.

Diet:Feed once or twice a day with standard foods. They are omnivorous, therefore some green flakes or algae should be given.
Behavior:Semi-Aggressive, A territorial and intolerant fish, especially of its own and co-similar species. This fish can be kept in a community tank with robust, dissimilar species. Each fish will establish a territory and defend it against all intruders.
Note:An albino form is widely available
