The main thing I could see was your timing, it was close but your rythem has a lot to do with your slap sounding good. I recommend practising with a metronome.

ok...time for a honestly painful reveiw....sorry.

-your timing was bad
-the tequnique is sloppy
-i like your jag^_^
-and your very inconsistant
-your runs inbetween the slaps are too fast

sorry...i cant stand bad timing.
keep going and youll get it.(your really close)almost there....

now see, thats what i wanted!

thanks man, (it was really cold like, winter, and my friend was like, JUST FKN PLAY!, so i did, i usually have... slightly better technique, and its usually covered with a warmer tone... so, yea thats my excuse)

and timing, i do have some trouble with time, speacially in pieces like that.

whats the best way to try and improve?

i saw your solo and it was passable. i would give it a C- but thats because timing was bad, and you were poping the strings a little bit too hard. but i do like the bass that you were using. nice tone.

i also noticed you were asking about the best way to improve timing.

try using a metronome or going through the solo slowly until it sounds like the recording and then try playing along with the recording

Hey, thats that one Super Rare Flea Bass Solo. biggrin I love playing that.

Anywho, to help improve try playing along with the recording of the song. Thats what I always do.

To improve your timing; play with a drummer, a drumcomputer or a metronome or something like that 3nodding

hey thanks guys

and when i solo, i try to change it subtly

to keep people on there toes

speacially some of the fingerstyle parts, they were mainly improv on the scale

but yer, my toming got a little out

and i know i pop too hard

i've gotten alot better though

i once had a set of strings last me a week

those in the video are GHS bass boomers

lasted me since febuary, and its now like june

so yeh, good run

still got them on, and they dont look like there gonna break

but yer

i think my timings better, i should play that piece some more cos i havnt been playing it much

record it again... repost

i've been doing alot more stuff, original

but i havnt been playing with that guy for a while

so i dont think i can get it up anytime soon
