Konnichiwa.
Watashi wa Ukitake Jyuushirou, jyuusanbantai taichou.
My first name is Jyuushirou. It means 'fourteen rou'. 'Rou' is a common ending of male names. My name can also mean 'ten white', though that's not the correct kanji. (But I find it amusing!)
My family name is Ukitake - it is a very old and small noble house. The name's kanji means floating bamboo.
If you wish to address me correctly, you should refer to me as Ukitake-taichou. It is most polite.
I am the taichou - captain - over this division, though I am afraid my health is a bit frail. I suffer from an aggressive form of consumption... I think its called tuberculosis these days. Thus, I'm forced to leave most of the daily work to my two sanseki - third seats - but I assure you I'm quite capable as a shinigami.
I've been around a while, after all. Over 2000 years.
I enjoy candy and I like children very much. I have quite a large family; five brothers and two sisters, and my oldest friend is a shinigami captain as well. His name is Kyouraku Shunsui and is the hachibantai - 8th division - taichou.
My zanpakutou is named Sougyo no Kotowari, which means 'Truth of Pisces'. It is one of only two pairs of twin blades in Soul Society - my friend Shunsui has the other pair.
The zanpakutou's powers are water and lightning-based, but I do not use it often since it drains my physical power.
That is my introduction. Please give me yours.
I'm looking forward to it.
Douzoyoroshiku, minna.
