[The Creature]

Information collected from Wikipedia-

"They are described as, upon their birth, looking like shell-less lobsters, pale and slimy on the surface. There is no identifiable head. Upon hatching they measure six inches (15 cm) and smell of rotting fish. They have a natural mechanism to emit a strong spark from one end (hence their name), and the males sport a stinger at the other. Females, although missing the stinger, have a sucker (for blood) on the underside. The blast is typically strong enough to move them several inches. The spark occasionally causes surface burns to anything in contact with the animal. They do not hibernate.

At two months, measuring a metre in length, skrewts develop a thick, grey, shiny armour - described as looking like a cross between a scorpion and an elongated crab. At this stage the animals begin to display their aggressive tendencies between each other - often killing one another. Though aggressive, the male skrewt may be controlled by fastening a rope around its sting. After another month the skrewt measures 2 metres in length.

A skrewt was used as an obstacle in the maze during the final task of the Triwizard Tournament. At this point, over nine months since birth, the beast is 3.5 metres in length - the male's stinger now extends over its back. The shell is resistant to most spells - though the fleshy under-belly is still vulnerable. When Rita Skeeter is talking to Hagrid, she refers to the creatures as "Bang-Ended Scoots". Also, in an article of hers, she claimed they were cross-breeds of Manticores and Fire Crabs

Although there is a picture here of what they look like in the game, J. K. Rowling herself has never publicly produced a picture of what they should look like, which leaves everyone with a very different image."

[The Creature]

Name: Komi
Gender: male
Abilities:

Spark- From the strange fixtures on his back, Komi can emit a strong spark. This spark is what the Blast-ended Skrewt is named for. This blast propels Komi forward a few inches and may burn anything in contact with him. It is useful when he needs a small boost forward or to escape another person's grasp.
Weakness- This ability will be difficult to control--especially at a young age. It will undoutably embaress him on numerous occasions and may even put his life in danger.
The blast is very limited in its usefulness. It can only harm anyone touching him and doesn't cause any serious damage. It is used to escape an enemy's grasp, not to attack that enemy. In the right circumstances it can propel him at the right speed to charge the enemy, but it can also push him into an oustretched weapon.

Natural armor- Komi's shell-like skin will serve as armor. It is resistant to most magic.
Weakness- His stomach, head, and the backs of his legs and arms are not covered by this armor.

Stinger- Can serve as an extra weapon.
Weakness- If a rope is fastened around his stinger he is defenseless. (You could drag him around like a dog. He could no longer hurt you.)

Race/Species/Element Blast-ended skrewt

Hair and eye colors A goldish color.

Distinctive Marks There are four orange rings on his back from which he uses his blast ability.

General likes and dislikes

I'd rather not tie him down to anthing at the momment. I'd like to see how he developes before I decide this.

Hobbies

Same as above.

[Past]

Danger lurked nearby.

It always did.

But this time, danger came in a distinct form. Just like the rest of his kind, the blast-ended skrewt had no eyes. He could not see the figures approach. He did not need to. A lifetime without sight had developed his other senses.

The creature knew they were closing in. He realised there were too many for him to defeat. But, his intelligence was severly limited and the realization was no more than a foriegn shudder of apprehension. He didn't consider the possibility of escaping with his life, nor did he fear what could happen. He was not capable of such things. There was only room for one thing.

Rage.

The skrewt lashed out in the only emotion it knew. There was a bang. The spark he produced propelled him forward.

Wrong move.

A rope so carelessly slung over his tail by the unseen enemies, tightened when he pulled against it.

The skrewt went limp.

With his tail bound he was defenseless. He was no longer able to fight back.

A mage approached it with the rope in his hands. The skrewt could only sense his presence, the mage's smirk and affected stride were lost to the creature.

"Useless creatures aren't they? Pathetic monster. Supposed spawn of manticore and fire crabs. A b*****d. How sad. I'm tempted to keep him as a pet", the mage drawled and tugged the rope causing the skrewt to be dragged forward, unable to retaliate.

Another voice responded from the circle of spectators. "Just rid the world of the illegal creature. Do so now and stop messing about."

"Fine", he sat down in front of the skrewt and flipped it over, craddling it on its back like a baby. "Worthless utterly worthless. This is what happens when the devil tries to play god. Farewell. ."

The skrewt had no language of its own. It could not understand the words of the man as anything but the emotions in them. The exchange and the tauntings were wasted on the skrewt.

A single blast to the stomach was all it took to fell the skrewt. It died painlessly.

A life of futile struggle finished in a meaningless end. From birth to death he fought, often killing his own to surive, and now he died unable to fight back. At the mercy of a human.

[Personality From Baby to Adult]

Baby- Weak and helpless. He will need to be held carefully with his body supported in more places than is usually necessary. Because his blast ability is available from birth, life is especially dangerous for him. The ability may send him off a countertop or cause him to collide with a wall. He objects right away to any form of physical contact and does not like to be bundled up or caged. Unlike many babies who cry consistently to alert guardians that they are in need, it is his goal to be forgotten. There is a definent dislike for other people already forming. He will only make noise if another person is in the room, and only to get that person to leave.

Toddler- Komi starts to become more agressive at this stage. He is violent by nature. After a past life of fighting to exist, he feels threatened by other people and will physically attack them if he thinks the threat is great enough. He's convinced that if he is not good enough he will die. Luckily, toddlers are very limited in their motor skills and his attempts will be clumsy. It is unlikely that he would do serious damage.

Child- Komi starts to feel worthless. He is sure that he means nothing and will amount to nothing. His own lack of self-confidence leaves him insecure. He tends to be bitter and rude. He is deeply cynical and heavily opinionated. Komi is a hypocrite. He feels everyone is judging him, when he harshly critcizes everyone else. More than anything else, he hates feeling that he's being controlled. He has trouble dealing with authority figures. Often he will act against what he is told to do just to feel like his own person. He lashes out at other people without warning, especially those his own age, when he feels upset with them.
He'd get along best with other children that he feels are equal to him. Especially those who enjoy fighting and don't like listening to their parents.

Teen- What Komi is like at this stage will depend on how things develop. He's bound to be influenced by any friends he has. If he has any. (Hopefully) If he's gained any sort of confidence with himself, learning his past will be a blow to his sense of self-worth. He wasn't anything special, unlike most of the other GOTP children.

Past the teen stage I am very uncertain, I can't predict how this will play out and how other GOTP will interact with him in earlier stages. Even the teen stage is very sketchy.

((People are mentioned as a paticular dislike of his. This goes for all living things in general. He will probably not feel this as strongly towards other GOTP. He will still feel the urge to fight them and prove himself. But he probably won't hate them without them as soon as he sees them.))

[Physical description From Wand-Adult]

Wand- Twisted and black. Dotted with red thorns that go yellow at the tips.

Ghost- Gray. No eyes.

Baby- Pale and slimy like a young skrewt. The tail is underdeveloped and looks deformed. The eyes are as pale as the rest of the baby--and blind. It has holes in its back where its blast ability can be used. The little creature is ugly and smells of rotting fish.

Toddler- His skin has now gained its color and is a healthy tan. He is tinted gray where his armor is beginning to develop. His eyes turn a shade of gold and his hair, which hasnow started to form, matches it. The tail has now developed and is silver. The stinger at the end is tipped red fading into yellow. (Like the thorns on his wand)

Child- The armor has now completely developed. His tan skin is speckled gray on the armor-colored areas. He wears his hair short and spiked.
His clothing is colorful and happy to an almost sickening extent. He wears shirts with smiley faces and expressions like "Optimism is good" that clash with his constant glare. ((The product of a mother who believes that wearing the color black makes you a future criminal))

((His appearance past here will depend on his developement as a charector.))

[Brief Guardian Concept]

((Rough))

Fiora Delani is a strict guard and convict hunter. She truly believes people can be judged as either good and evil. Consequently, the state of humanity tends to dissapoint her. Her passion outside of her work is traveling and acting. She loves disguises. Though only in her mid-twenties, she is jaded and has trouble letting go and having fun. She doesn't like children. She believes they are vandals in the making.

Nathaniel Micnotti is a pirate. A famous theif and captain, large rewards have been put on his head. He is easy-going and loves a good laugh. The captain tends to be a loose man with a love for women and drink. He appears harmless and stupid, but if a good thief and not a good man. His hands are not clean of blood.

Hisotry- To catch Nathaniel, Fiora disguised herself and joined his crew. She was a strong, capable woman, and Nathaniel was immeidately taken with her. After half a year as a pirate, she was reminded of her duty and ordered to finish it. Fiora loved her new life and had feelings for Nathaniel, but knew that she must do her job. When they stopped at a port, she claimed to have something to show him. She led him down the beach out of sight of the ship into a cave. There she'd stashed alcohol. Nathaniel trusted her and thought it was nothing more than a way to thank him. He drank heavily and fell asleep. Fiora hit him over the head so that he wouldn't wake up. She dragged him into one of the nearest shops. This shop turns out to be the wand shop. (It appears anywhere, doesn't it? ;D)
((After the scene in the wand shop they will emerge to discover they are now in gaia instead))

I'm hoping that they will be able to have a shared guardianship. (i.e. the book won't react until both of their hands touch it at the same time. And they have to raise the child toghether.)
