Willie hiked up her little pink dress and tied an ungraceful knot in it to keep it up. Then she adjusted her backpack strap and started to scale the backside of the sofa. It was jsut the essentials today so the princess hat had reamined at home with the bracelets and other excess paraphanelia. If she came across anyone at the top of the mountain. she'd just have to trust to her manners and sheer beauty to tell the tale of her royal bloodlines.
She nodded... that was good. She'd have to remember that.

It was cold and desolate atop the moutain. Not a soul in sight.... although not for long.
A slight movement, the shop door pushing open a little, was the only thing heralding Sid's entrance. He'd learnt that pushing it open only a little meant it wouldn't hit the bell hanging above it. And being a snake he didn't much space to squeeze his slender body through.
As it was, he didn't see anyone about - Willie climbing the couch from the other side. Well at least that meant no annoying eagles to deal with, he thought. But he had hoped to meet someone here. That was the whole point of coming. How else would he be able to show off his lasted whip trick?
Perhaps he would bump into someone later if he stuck around?

It didn't take the princess adventurer long to reach the top of the mountain... she'd done it so many times before, and as far as mountains went, this one was at the bottom end of the scale. As she reached the top she was about to cry out her victory when she noticed a snake man near the foot of the sofa.
Snake man.... something in the back of her mind nagged at her that she'd seen this story before... but she couldn't quite remember it.
So she crept down onto the cushions as quietly as she could...
And she leapt off the sofa, with the pure intent of tackling the snake man.

Sidney looked about, still no one. And so he curled his tail around, making himself more comfortable. Hmm... maybe he should just perfect his technique before showing it off. Not that he believed he'd make an error... but it wouldn't be half as impressive if he did.
Decision made, he unhooked his whip, never once noticing the silvet toad child creeping down the sofa cushions behind him. He hissed a little as part of the whip got tangled. He shouldn't have been so quick in winding it up before he came. If this were a dangerous situation he could be in serious trouble now.
Trouble.... only a moment too late did he realise there was movement behind him. But by then the amphibian's strong legs had propelled her at him and he only managed to half turn before he was knocked over by the force.
His immediate thought was it was Carl, going back on his word and attacking him. As fast as he could, though he attacker was atop him, he whipped his lower body up, coiling around the stranger, squeezing tightly but only enough to hold them firm for now. But this person was alot smaller than Carl and wasn't covered in feathers. He rolled over and peered up...

The face of Willie grinned back at him evilly. She had two black striped painted on each cheek, war paint style (heaven only knows when she found the time) and her grin went from one almost non-existant ear to the other. She seemed content to be wrapped up and held in one place, since she wasn't strugling or wiggling to try and get free.
She simplt stared over at him for several seconds before licking her lips and glancing up at the ceiling... then she turned her attention back to him and pursed her lips in mild irritation. "Lo... go." The words were simple and stated plainly. It was obvious that she didn't care to say any more at that very moment.

Sidney stared. His first reaction was this was some sort of wild tribes-person, on account of the war paint. That and the way she grinned at him so evilly. He hissed under his breathe and for the moment stayed still, holding his attacker tight. She wasn't trying to escape though... a bit unnerving.
But as he continued to to look at her he bagan to notice things. She was a girl... and a frog or toad. This struck a cord in his memory. So long ago, he'd grown since then.... but then could she have too? There was only one amphibian velvet he knew of, a plush when he'd met her. But he remembered her striking rainbow-striped legs. If this girl had then then she must be her!
So when the young girl (he realised now she was a child) muttered to be 'let down' he did so. Slowly loosening his coils and uncurling them from around her. What was her name? He'd given her a nickname at the time he'd met her since her carer hadn't thought of one yet. He hadn't forgotten the name either (he was too much a fan of the Indiana films to simply forget something like that!) but the question was, had she? Did she even know about it, being a plush at the time?
"Willie?" He whispered, looking for any sign of recognition.

As he let her go and her little feet hit the ground, she began to brush off her dress and arms... but as he said her name she looked up at him wide eyed and grinned again. "Yeah!" She hopped up and down a little in her excitement. She touched her little rainbow fingers to her chest and stepped closer, proudly even, to him. "Willie... Annastasia Rashanine Willamine Canigi.... Willamine... Willie..." Then she pointed over at him...
"You?"

The reptilian teen sat up, straighting out his own things, his belt and whip, while still keeping an eye on the little tribes-girl Willie. Ah but she did remember the name he'd called her! He started to smile, although it turned to slight shock as she recited her WHOLE name. Loooooong! "I think I'll sstick with Willie." He muttered, mostly to himself. At least that worked and wasn't such a mouthful.
"Me? Oh." She didn't remember him though. Carl had said he was so dull so as not to be noticeable. But, she had been a plush after all so he shouldn't be too surprised, or disappointed. He perked himself up, standing tall and looking heroic. "I'm Ssidney." He introduced himself, tapping his chest. "You probably don't remember me, ssince you weren't really alive when we met before."

Willie cocked her head to one side as she listened to his speech, then she pursed her lips together and waved a hand at him, denouncing his story a little. "Psssh."
She walked forward, with her hands clasped behind her back and inspected him. She walked a complete circle around him, nodding and grinning every once in a while, before she stopped and peered at his whip. She knew what a whip was, but as far as she knew she'd never seen one in real life before. Willie pointed at the whip and raised her eyebrows at him. "You?"
Of course she meant something along the lines of 'is it yours and do you use it' ... but as was probably becoming apparent, Willie was a toad of few words... She didn't mean insult by it, and it wasn't that she didn't understand or know how to talk in full sentances... she just never spent much time in the real world.

(( Sorry! Been neglecting. sweatdrop ))
The snake frowned a little, seeing as the child was unimpressed with his words. She certainly didn't seem like a big talker herself though. Not that he minded that, but some conversation was good. More than just one-word answers. Still, maybe that was all she knew? Maybe she was only recently grown and was still learning?
She was interested in him enough, circling him and making him turn and twist his body to try and keep up. How did he get in this situation anyway? He wasn't sure he liked being under such scrutiny.... and being grinned at. But at last she stopped.
He tightened his grip around his whip protectively, remembering how Carl had caught it and then Willow had confiscated it. "You? You mean 'mine'? Yeah, it'ss my whip. I got it as a gift." He paused. He had come here to show off his whip-skills after all. Maybe he could show them to her? "Want to ssee me crack it?" He asked.

(( heart ))
Her eyes went wide and she repeated his last sentance back to him. "want to sssseeee? Yes!" she nodded then hopped back a step waiting patiently for the demonstration... clearly more than a little interested.

Sidney let a grin spread over his features. At last, an audience! Well, ok maybe not who he was expecting to impress but it was good all the same. And she did seem genuinely keen. Even if she wasn't all that fussed with long words and conversations, a visual display appealed to the toad-child.
A little demonstration in his skills might also make her rethink about doing any more of that uncomfortable staring and scrutiny too....
"Ok, sstep back." He waved an arm and slithered back to make room, pulling out his whip as he did so and letting it unravel. Raising his hand high over his head, he whished the whip down, pulling back to make a loud crack that snapped through the quiet shop. With a whirl of his hand he whipped it back up, swinging over his head for another sharp snap. Then, with a practiced flick, he made the long end drop and puddle by his side where he began to roll it up around his arm again. "What did you think of that then?" He asked, looking rather smug that he had pulled it off without any noticeable difficulty.
