Its because he was gifted with the power to sweat koolaid that possesses children. his leather suit stores the dried koolaid and when applied to larger amounts of water, spreads out more than if he tried without it.
had to make that joke, but in all seriousness, its a special effect, note the waves of energy comming off him, thats what turned the water black, not his evilness.

Ruin_42 Kadaj is a "Larva" form of sephorath, so basically he is sephorath, and yay I agree about the manipulation materia thingy Kadai is not the larva stage because all the 3 represented a part of Sephiroth and kadaj just represented mainly the cruelty of him so in the end he turned into a form of sephiroth but i think that was just his luck or bad luck considering *SPOILER*" tosl eh"

I reckon that cos since sephiroth has the ability to make really black evil clouds why the hell can't Kadaj make really black evil water... cos i mean each of them is an element of sephiroth aren't they???

i don't know but my sis says its the materia cause the black materia sephiroth has makes them super strong plus its like his magic trick with the materia

Kyuketsukihime Geostigma is actually Jenova's Genetic Legacy. Watch the movie entirely and pay attention to what they are saying. So yes Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo are 'larvea' forms of Sephiroth but since how Cloud had all the material and he also had the Black Material after the major fight with Sephiroth. So maybe Kadaj used the black material to get what he wanted. That is a good point I guess Kadaj could have the bloack materia. I doubt it had anything to do with the water turning black. I figgured he had released a stimuli that interacted with the geostigma itself allowing him to control the children. After all they did get only kids with Geo Stigma.

It could be any of those things. But maybe Nomura-san was just trying to make it look cool, regardless of how it turned out. biggrin Who knows...
