I kinda got bored....And I was reading past chapters in the manga...waiting for the new one to come out so I wrote this. it's from Naruto's point fo view and he reflects on what he could never say to the boy before he left.

Naruto sat down in his room and looked up at the ceiling.
“Sasuke...” The thoughts of the other boy made Naruto’s usually bright blue eyes well up with tears.
“Why? What changed?” Naruto thought as he picked up his Sasuke’s headband and stared at it.

“You never had parents. You never had a brother so what would you know about me anyway...”
Naruto stared into Sasuke’s eyes.
“You were alone from the very start! So why the hell would you know what I’ve been through! Huh?”
Sasuke continued to yell. “It’s because of those bonds I had that I suffered! The loss of those bonds is something you can never understand!”
Naruto paused for a moment. “ A true parent or a true brother like you sat are things I can’t understand...”

“Why...Why do you go through so much just for me..?”Sasuke asked him. Naruto looked at him with his red kyuubi eyes.
“Because to me...you represent bonds I’ve waited so long to make. That’s hwy I’m going to stop you from going!”
“If that’s the case then I only need to sever those bonds!”
I'd always stumble around like this so..
I'd always get left behind like this...

“So you came too..” Sasuke spoke up upon the cliff he was standing on. He stared down at Naruto.
(A/N: I’m skipping some parts...)
“So he’s filling in for me then?He..?” Sasuke said coldly as he looked at Sai. “He was spouting some kind of nonsense about protecting the bonds between Naruto and me...”
Naruto stared up at him with shock.
“One more pansy for the group. Quite the fit I’m sure...”
Sakura stared at Sai. “Huh?”
“It’s true...My top secret mission was indeed the assignation of Sasuke...”
“ But those orders mean nothing to me now. I want to act and think for myself..”

“I may not know all of you that well...but there’s a reason why Naruto-Kun and Sakura-san chase after you with so much passion...”
Sasuke stared down at Sai. With a look on his face that screamed “Shut the hell up...”
“In order to prevent the bonds with you from breaking...In order to keep them intact their doing everything they can. I still don’t have a very good understanding of it myself...”
Sai paused for a moment.
“But you Sasuke-kun you should know why.”
Sasuke stared at Naruto before answering. “Sure I did know. And that’s why I severed them.”
Naruto and Sakura stared at him and gasped. “I have other bonds that I carry...”
The Blonde boy was shocked. “Sasuke...”

Naruto thought back to the showdown at the valley of end as he stared at his former friend above him on the cliff.
“If that’s true...” Naruto stared down at his fists. Sasuke stared at him without much interest.
“If that’s true then why..?”
“WHY DIDN’T YOU KILL ME BACK THEN! IS THAT WHAT YOU CALL SEVERING BONDS SASUKE!” Naruto shouted at his friend.

Naruto wept into his pillow. “S-Sasuke...I love you..” he mumbled between sobs.
If only the other boy could hear him. What would he say?

Naruto glared at his former friend. In a moment he had his arm swung around Naruto shoulder.
Sasuke’s speed had increased a lot since two years earlier. “Come to think of it isn’t becoming Hokage one of your dreams?”
Sasuke asked. “If you had the time to chase me around you would’ve been better off training. Don’t you think Naruto..?”
He smirked and pulled out his sword from it’s sheath. “And that’s why this time...Your going to end up losing your life all at a whim of mine.”
Naruto arched his eyebrows in sadness. “Like there’s any chance someone who can’t even save his friend could become Hokage... Don’t you think Sasuke?”
“Hmph..” He prepared himself to stab Naruto from his back.

On the surface everything seemed so pure and straightforward..
The feelings we had would burst that world apart...
Naively, we'd become to consumed with trying to know "love"...
Stumbling about, we'd hurt each other and our world would vanish...

Naruto heard a knock on his door. He snapped out of his thoughts and dropped the headband in his hands.
He got up and opened the door. “What is it?” The blonde peeked out of his door to see Sai smiling back at him.
“Hello Naruto-kun.” Sai looked at Naruto tears stained face and his red swollen eyes.
“Are you okay?” Sai pushed open the door and held Naruto’s face to look up at his own.
Naruto did his trademark grin and wiped away the tears from his face. “Nothing! I’m fine!”
Sai pulled Naruto into a embrace. “Your lying. I know you are.”
Naruto let himself sink into Sai’s embrace. Sai pushed Naruto back onto his bed. Sai pulled himself away.
He looked down into Naruto’s dull blue eyes. “Naruto...Is it Sasuke?” Sai knew all to well what the blonde thought of most of the time.
“No...it’s not Sasuke...Why would you think that?” Naruto looked away.
“Naruto...can you ever forget him?” Sai pulled Naruto face to make him look Sai in the eyes.
“No! I can never forget him! Not ever!”
Did you ever wonder if we ever really loved each other?
Although it's too late to be thinking about that now..

“Sasuke! Where are you?” Naruto looked around for a moment. Then crouched down and started to cry.
“Oi Dobe, What are you doing?” Sasuke bent down and stared at his lover. “You okay?”
Naruto looked up. “I was looking for you for over an hour! Where were you!” Naruto rubbed his eyes.
“Your such a baby Naruto.” Sasuke pulled something from behind his back. “Look. I bought it for you.”
It was a necklace with a blue marble on it. A fox was wrapped around it. The color matched Naruto’s eyes.
“When I saw it I thought of you.” He placed it in the other boy’s hand. Naruto stared at it.
“Sasuke...it’s beautiful...” He tackled/Hugged him to the ground. “I love you Sasuke!”
Sasuke blushed on the ground beneath the blonde. “I love you too.”

“Sasuke...ah..S-stop...” Naruto moaned from beneath Sasuke.
“Your...enjoying this aren’t you..? So why should I?” Sasuke looked at Naruto with lust laced over his eyes.
Naruto’s eyes filled with tears as Sasuke thrusted into the boy. “Y-yes...but ah! It...hurts..”
Sasuke intertwined his fingers with Naruto’s as he thrusted faster. “Sasuke! Ah!”
“Your so cute...Naruto...I love you.”

Things are different now...very different.
Even the good memories are burnt away.
It's a shame a real pity..

Sai got up and stood up. He slumped his head down and looked away. “But...I...love...you.”
“Sai..?” Naruto heard what he said and blushed. “Y-you do...?”
“Yes! And that’s why I can’t bear to see you this way...” Sai sat back onto the bed and looked at Naruto.
“Love me instead...” He leaned in to kiss Naruto. Naruto stared at Sai.
‘He looks like Sasuke...’ He leaned forward to kiss Sai. Moments later he realized...
Naruto pushed him away. “You’re not Sasuke! I can’t love anyone but him!”
Sai looked down and felt guilty. “That’s true...because if I was Sasuke I would have never run off...I would’ve never abandoned you...”
Naruto looks at Sasuke’s headband that lays upon the bed. He picks it up.
“I’m sorry Sai...please leave.” Naruto felt bad but now he wanted to be alone.
Sai did as he was told and got up to leave. Closing the door behind him.
When the door was closed Naruto fell onto to his pillow and started once more to weep. Sai could hear his loud cries from outside the door.
“Sasuke...You don’t deserve to have him love you.” Sai said before leaving Naruto’s door to go out in the rainy weather.

Naruto flinched when thunder hit. “Your not even here to comfort me through the thunder.”
He clenched the headband. It made his hands bleed.

No matter what everything seemed like it was new.
Nowadays it's always cloudy...
I can't even see the sun anymore, I have nothing more to say.
Just look out for eachother and someday our worries will vanish.

Naruto sniffled in the corner of his room. “Sasuke-teme...I hate you..”
Naruto didn’t hear someone enter his house. “You could at least lock the door dobe.”
“Shut-up! Don’t talk to me right now!” Naruto yelled throwing his headband at him.
He let his blonde hair fall over his face. “I hate you...”
Sasuke frowned and looked down at the blonde. “I’m sorry.”
Naruto looked up at him. “Your...what?”
“I said I’m sorry! So please don’t be mad at me...” Sasuke scratched the back of his head and blushed.
Naruto grinned. “Okay! But only if you buy me ramen!”

We used to always understand eachother's feelings.
The feelings we had would burst that world apart...
But without words our feelings slipped past eachother.
Stumbling about we hurt eachother and vanished..

“I’d give up anything to hear him say I’m sorry again...” Naruto decided to cheer up a little. After all there’s no use in getting sad all the time.
“I have to apologize to Sai properly.”
He got up with Sasuke’s headband in his hands.
He opened up his door and looked at the clearing sky. It was turning blue again and all the traces of rain were lifting.
“Back then our world was a bubble without a cloud in the sky...” Naruto mumbled stuffing the headband in his shirt.
