Parvana looked around the mansion's grounds. No one seemed to be around at the moment. Standing beneath a large oak she made sure the bag she had slung over one shoulder and acrossed her body was closed. jumping up she grabed the losest branch, pressing her bare feet agaisnt the rough bark of the tree pulling herself higher into the branches.
She smiled after she found a place to sit, leaning her back agaisnt the trunk. Closing her eyes and listening to the way the wind moved the leaves and shift the branches. She liked the feel of the cool breeze agaisnt her wings, and over her arms and legs, glade that she was wearing a tank top and shorts since the days where warming up.
After several long moments of enjoying the feel of the wind before opening her bag a pulling out the golden flute her Momma had given her so long ago. Setting it to her lips she begain to play her favorite song, a old lullbye that came from somewhere deep in her memorie. She still didn't know the name of it, but it was her favorite thing to play ever.

The sound of Vana's flute playing would not go undisturbed, for only seconds after she started playing it, a loud scream roared out of the mansion's kitchen. "s**t God Dammit!!" came the painful cry of Ancelin as she threw a chizzling knife onto the table, blood now staining it's blade. A peice of wood soon followed after, and the cut area in question went straight under the sink. Suck on it? Ancelin? Hell no. Do you know how many germs are in the average 'human' mouth? Alot.
"Ow, ow, ooooow..." She muttered as she washed a decent sized gash on the side of her finger. Ancelin wasn't too skilled at carving it seemed, because there where several bandages on each of her hands already. An just stood there letting the water run, fresh blood mixing in as it went down the drain.

Vana's flute came to a hault at the scream, easly jumping down from the tree and flutterting to the gound, running to the house. She stopped long enough to pick up the carving blade and the peice of wood before going into the house. She blinked as she watched the teenage girl run her hand under the cold water.
She cleared her throught softley as she crept into the kitchen, "Exuse me... Can I help? My cousion has taught me stuff about first aid.."

An was right in the middle of soaking the finger in peroxide when the young girl came to her aid. Ancelin's eyes looked over to her and winced, before she took in a sharp breath. "Stssss.. Um.. Yes please.. You see that backpack on the kitchen table behind me? In the front pocket is a tube of anti-biotic ointment. It'd be a real help if you could get it for me." She said with a 'I'm an idiot' smile.
"Sorry if I startled you.. I've been trying to make a present for a friend, and I'm afraid I'm not too skilled with a knife, you see."

Parvana rushed to the backpack getting the tube of ointment and finding a soft clean dry cloth and a couple of bandaids. Holding the iteams up to her the younger girl tilted her head to the side. "What kind of things are you good at?"
It seemed to make sense. Why try to do something that made you hurt yourself when there might be something else you could do that would be even better? "Why do you have to carve something?"

Ancelin took the ointment and soothed it over the open wound, the gellitin helping to hold the blood from leeking out. It was like patrolium jelly, only with medical purposes. An then took the two bandaids and wrapped them around the cut, sealing them and leaving the pressure there so the adhesive would fully stick. "What am I good at..? Well. I'm really good at cleaning, and taking care of aquatic creatures. I have at least 100 fish at home.. I can also play the piano a little bit." She said, as if she where in the talent stage of a beauty pagent. Her eyes softened a bit as she turned the water off, before she looked down to the girl who was being oh so helpful.
"I have to make it to apologize to somebody. It's a presant." she said meekly. "It's not much, but I'm hoping she'll like it." Ancelin then looked over to the stick of wood on the counter, that was starting to roughly look like a guitar handel.

Parvana perked up a little as she got onto of the wooden stools around the counter picking up the wood turning it over in her hands. "Why not play the person a song on the piano?" The younger girl set the half carved chunk back on the counter carefully. Even though the older girl had just throwen it, it still seemed very important to her.

"I'd have to get her in my house first before I could do that.." An muttered, before she walked back to the counter and picked up the peice of wood, pulling a loose chunk that she had been in the middle of widdling off. "Believe it or not. I'm probably better with a knife than I am at playing the piano. For as much as I like music I'm not the slightest bit musically gifted." An lapsed. It was true, poor An could make babies cry with her singing. And Oliver told her if she broke one more string on his piano from doing whatever it is she does wrong he was going to start charging her for new strings.. And Ancelin didn't have a job.
"Vincent is helping me carve this though. He's doing the finer details like decorated carvings and whatnot.. I'm just trying to get the basic shape of a guitar."

Vana rested her head in her hands, watching Ancelin work on her project, her legs swinging back and forth. She gave the girl an incorgaing smile, "Aside from the cutting yourself thing, I think your doing a pretty good job. I can see it starting to become one."
"I bet the person your making it for will really like it. I mean you've worked so hard on it. How could they not?" She grinned lifting her head. "How about some music to work by? It might make it go easier." The bright yellow girl reached into her bag, pulling her flute out of it. She rarely went anywhere without it anymore.

Ancelin smiled reassuringly at the compliment. It made her feel alot better about the situation. "Thank you. I really hope she'll like it.. I really want to show her how much she means to me." An then looked down at the peice of wood, and began cutting away at it with the knife, a sliver of wood falling to the table.
At the mention of music, An looked up at the flute and tilted her head to the side. Sure, she didn't see the hurt in it. "Yeah, that'd be really nice, actually. I forgot my CD player so I haven't had any of my music to listen to." she then thought. "What kind of music do you play? One of the boys I live with is a musician."

Parvana grinned happily and shrugged, "I like almost every kind of music, and I am learning to play all kinds. Right now I am best at the flute, and since that is all I have most of what I will play will probley be classical or lulabyes. Got any requests? There isn't many songs I don't know." Her fingers slide over the keys, preparing to start playing.

Ancelin thought for a moment, thanks to Oliver, she was very fond of classical music. She scratched her chin for a moment, before she looked at the guitar handle she was carving. "Do you know the 5th requiem by Beethoven?" an odd request really, most people would be like 'play swam lake' or 'do that one they play in Interview with a Vampire!' but no. An was simpler. She liked that calm uplifting stuff, the kind that didn't lower your mood so badly you wanted to go cut your own wrists, like The Butterfly Effect.
"If you don't you can play anything you like, I'm not that picky."

Parvana nodded and placed the mouth peice to her lips, her eyes closeing as the first notes of the song Ancelin requested begain to float from the flute, filling the kitchen. The kitchen was perfact place for her to play, the notes bouncing off the hard surfaces so the notes came out clear.
She hadn't been kidding when she said she knew many songs, she had spent close to a year at home doing little else then studing and learning music. She slowly opned her dark sparkling eyes, her fingers moving over the keys of the flute easily as she played. Watching the other girl as she carved the chunk of wood.

Ancelin slumped her shoulders a little bit, feeling calmed by the music. It was a nice change considering how tense she had been before. She picked up the piece of wood that would be the handle in her left hand, and her chizzle in the right. She then began to carve away, woodchips falling to the floor.
Infact, the music was so good on Ancelin's nerves, she began to carve better, missing her fingers where she would otherwise cut them, and making smooth edges instead of the splintery ones of the past.
It only took Ancelin a good ten minutes to finish the neck of the wooden guitar, and she held it up to Parvana with a wide smile. She felt accomplished.

Vana grinned as she looked over the neck of the guitar nodding. "That looks great, you did a really good job. I am sure that whoever it is your making it for will love it." It was a t that moment Parvana relized she wasn't sure who this girl was. "I'm Parvana by the way. I'm not sure if we have ever met before."
