I'm not sure if there is already a thread about this, but this happens in the episode 101.
Sakura says something, and Sasuke acknowledges her in his mind. Take a look, (and pardon the little extra things I wrote.)

Has anybody noticed this before? And this is before the arc when Sasuke goes away, so technically, it's NOT a filler episode.
Anybody else noticed this?

Well... actually it IS a filler episode. It digresses from the actual storyline, as do a few episodes (after or before, I can't remember) leading to Sasuke's departure. Therefore it is a filler.
However, Kishimoto DID write a short omake involving Team 7 trying to figure out what was under the mask. The anime's writers just included a LOT more. So... a canon filler?
Sasuke had already acknowledged Sakura from the beginning (i.e. when he tells her that her genjutsu and intellect is the best in the team) so it really isn't much of a surprise. However, I wouldn't regard it as anything romantic since anybody would have said it in their situation. I mean, Sakura totally saved their asses using her awesome smartness. <3
Sakura totally should have gotten Sasuke's body a high five as a reward.

Yup. Noticed it. In fact, it's in the SasuSaku hint list in the Resource Thread. You know, even if it isn't canon, or even if it isn't actually romantic. But yes, it's worth knowing that Sasuke has that kind of bond with Sakura - acknowledging her know-how, that is. I think that though he thinks Sakura is physically weak, he knows that she has the brains to back her up.

Stupid Sasuke and his stupid pride..he just coouldn't have said it out loud. I don't think it was hinting towards anything romantic however, He was probably just acknowledging her in a friendly matter..

As much as i'd hate to agree with your statement, it's true crying I think he was just addressing her in a friendly way crying ...

Wow, when I watched that episode I didn't notice that. You have a really good eye on noticing moments. Oh and thanks for telling us all about it, I wouldn't have known. sweatdrop
