Age: N/A – appears to be a prepubescent child of roughly 10 years old
Race: Entirely artificial
Sex: Undefined
Appearance: Ilia is small, much like any other child of its apparent age. At under 4 ½ feet tall it is dwarfed by the rest of the clan. Its gender is impossible to tell and it was not programmed to have a definite one at creation. Guyy, its creator, has decided to let it manage as a mere machine until it learns to grow and evolve on its own. Perhaps in the future it will have the emotional facilities to choose a gender.

The mecha looks rather innocent at a glance, with large blue eyes (a trick of the light as light reflects off the electronic lenses in its eyes) and short golden hair. A closer look will reveal a lack of definite pupils in the eyes. Instead there is a mechanical shutter behind glass that can close to a pinprick or open to expose the entire eye to light, giving the little robot excellent vision in even the darkest places.

Its features are an interesting mix of both Guyy's and that of the Lady Shinigami, Kaori having been his inspiration of sorts though the similarity was entirely unintentional and he now finds it a little embarrassing. Kaori's large blue eyes and full, soft lips combine with Guyy's straight nose and narrow chin to form a being of doll-like beauty.

The robot has no taste for particular items of clothing and will submit without complaint to any apparel it is dressed in, or none at all if it is given none. It can usually be found in one of Guyy’s old sweaters or shirts and oversized shorts until one or several of the clan members decide to buy fitting outfits for it. Should the collar of a shirt it is given be slightly too low, some may notice an odd black mark placed on the chest of the robot. Those who have seen Guyy without his shirt will instantly recognise the same tattoo-like mark he has on his own chest, though smaller on the child-like frame of the android. The alchemical mark of antimony, the sigil of the Shinigami Clan.

There are various ports on the spine of the robot, cleverly covered with the same realistic synthetic skin the rest of its body is coated in. Small sections can fold back to reveal the ports for use. The robot can interact with most forms of computer and has a wireless system built into it as well.
Personality: It knows everything, but feels nothing. With a direct connection to the library’s advanced computer system it can do everything from check the latest weather report to find a particular book on the many shelves.

It does display a form of curiosity, constantly seeking out fresh information and driven to answer questions. It has an inbuilt program and causes it to mimick others as a way to learn how to be more human. This is how it learned to refer to Guyy as 'Daddy' instead of his title, after playing awhile with Nette, a young girl in the care of the clan. It also has a self preservation program and can both avoid danger and in extreme circumstances defend itself. If all else fails it will sacrifice itself to prevent harm coming to others.

It is also programmed to serve the clan members and library customers in a similar way to a maid or assistant. It will find no trouble at all in crossing Durem at 3am to find a particular brand of ice-cream, or climbing a tall ladder to reach down a particular book for a frail library patron should it be required. It can sometimes anticipate the needs of those it serves, though it still has a lot to learn and sometimes gets it a little wrong.
History: Ilia was built from the modified blueprints Guyy discovered buried in the laptop he stole from the same labs that kidnapped Wavedancer. After some alterations he was able to scale down the abandoned design and improve it.
Additional Information: Though Ilia was supposed to display no emotions or seemingly any thoughts of its own, the programs built into its robotic brain are constantly evolving and it may develop far enough for Guyy to activate the experimental emotional programming locked deep within it.

However, after a run in with a Satyr that fried its circuitry, its emotion responses and personality were kicked into action and now cannot be turned off. The encounter also left it with a phobia of Satyrs.

It also has a phobia of sleeping, being terrified that it or its friends will not be able to 'turn back on'.
