I don't think that babies should be baptized, christened or have a wiccaning, or whatever. Wiccanings are very different to baptizims, they aren't essential, but I still see that as morally wrong. A baby is born in this world an innocent, and cannot decide which path to take at such a really young age.

I've long said that any kind of indoctrination of children into any religious faith should be vigorously prosecuted as child abuse. To infect a child with the irrational and nonsensical ideas of religion is simply disgusting. For instance, Pakistani madrasas. They teach that anything non-Islamic is sin and needs to be destroyed. The Red Mosque standoff going on right now is proof.
For instance, in these madrasas, children are taught to memorize the Qu'ran before being taught what it means. So they have an entire book in their heads, and they have little idea what its meaning is. That alone is bad enough, but then xenophobia is pumped into their heads until they're left with a very narrow worldview, full of prejudice and what is essentially radical racism. "Bible Camp" does what is essentially the same thing, on the Christian side.
Religion == morality. Teach the latter, without the former, and I think we'll all see a huge move to peace in the world.
