Genral population's mood: Moderate Discontent. Taxes are now enforced severely, and have more than quadrupled since 2007. The kindling is there for major revolt.

Dollar Value change since 2007: The dollar has risen to over ten times our current value. The main reason for this being that little money is left after the taxes.

Educational System: Public education now has had a heavy theological bent since the power struggle. Mathematics are now the most pursued courses at grade school level. The only higher education after high school is through the church, and becoming a member of the clergy.

Economy: Import and export has all but ceased. Almost the entirety of the mid west and the west is used for industrial farming, using machines run off of many sources of energy, the most common being magically generated. Aside from the casters that perform maintenance on the machines, there is almost no one in these agricultural badlands.

Political System and Police Activity: America's Democracy was dissolved in the year 2010. A 'benevolent' monarchy has been set into place, it's main base in a theological superiority of catholiscism. Practicing other religions is strictly forbidden. Magical activity automatically denotes deep involvement with the occult, and all magic note performed by members of the clergy is strictly forbidden. Police roam the streets in groups of three, and patrol in groups of ten after curfew.

City Maintenance: Funding for maintenance has been down since most of the raised tax has been going to military and police construction. Streets have crumbled and cracked, and street signs and lights are rarely being replaced or fixed.

Polluton level: Polution has gotten continually worse. During bad times of the week, an industrial fog forms. most civilians have grown a resistance towards it, but those from the country will be stunned and may be in trouble.

International Community: America has been walled off by itself since 2012. There is no means of communicating found thus far, aside from primitive radio signals. Unfortunately, the study of any foreign language is forbidden. The only ones allowed outside are church officials, and the army. Any veteran, however, refuses to speak of any time spent outside of America.

Borders: The remnants of the great Mexican wall still stands, at an impressive thirty feet and five feet thick. Snipers on both sides lie in wait of anyone, picking them off and arresting the stragglers for interrogation. While the wall crumbles in places and would be easily jumped, the riflemen and the mines generally deter all but the suicidal.
The Canadian border has become overgrown with thick lines of shrubs and trees. The only people who ever venture there are church-paid trimmers, as the church insists that the plants do not encroach on the border.
