If it is something, try to communicate with it...but be gentle. Like say "Hello. I know your there. I am, here to help." Something like that.

I agree with trying to communicate with it. It sounds like it might be trying to get your attention.

definetly don't let it get mad, it could go all poltergeist on you if you piss it off, or it could do some other really bad things, so be polite

We can't necessarily tell who it is unless it is a traveling spirit, which is quite rare.
Anyways, like everyone else had said, simply communicate with it.
And no, you're not going crazy. When you become more interested in something, you become more aware of it. It works the same for the paranormal.

you might have woken him up or he is upset by something. the first thing i would do if this was bothering me was to get the history of the house that you live in. i think you could get this at your local city hall or something *please correct me if you know exactly who guys*. that way you could find out who lived there before and see if any murders, etc. took place near or on the property. if so this will give you an idea of what your up against. a small child is either 2 things. a genuine lost soul who is sad, angry, or usually just confused or the other which is a negative entity disguised as a child. they do this since people let there guards down when confronting them. i feel it is the first though. go get some history on your house, even if you rent you might be able to get it still. it would also give you peace of mind which is most important.

I normally warn against looking up the history of a house or palce you think is haunted. Not only can it set your imagination into over drive it can also provoke the spirit(s) in the house.
Some researchs say this is a good thing but it can also wake things ups. It's like they suddenly reliese 'Hey this person knows about us lets make sure they don't forget us.'

i respectfully disagree with you on this. it is better to be armed with knowledge then just run in there and start talking to it. they could do a light research that would give them the date that it was built and whether or not any violent acts occurred on the property or near it. you don't have to look up the past owners names, etc. that would take a little while longer.

Basically, what others have said: Try talking to the spirit. I should, however, warn you that he doesn't seem like a happy spirit. Pick your words carefully; chances are that this boy had a traumatic experience.

be careful when you are talking to him. Usually children spirits are harmless. I would not really advise using spirit boards and stuff like that but just casually asking who is there. If your spirit is a child adress him as you would a younger cousin. good luck and keep us posted!
