xxClyde Definately the Black Stallion. My Dad bought it saying it was way better than Black Beauty... horses don't talk. xD The book is also good.
Then Hildalgo and then Seabiscuit. I tried reading the book Seabiscuit but I had a hard time getting into it. I must try again!
@s.p.a.d.e: I didn't like Flicka that much either, but I've never seen the original so I can't compare it. xD

Nooooo, the original Flicka was definitely about a filly... but the main character WAS a boy, yes.
I disliked Hidalgo. It was extremely unrealistic (a mountain horse beating 100 DESERT HORSES in a DESERT RACE?) and definitely NOT based off of a true story.

He really did go to the desert and beat arabs at their own game. Btw... just to let you know... paints aren't "mountain" horses. They come from the plains (you know-- dry, grassy FLAT areas.) lol
