We've got old, white, rich, and probably Christian men making medical decisions for us when they're not even doctors! This isn't funny. (And this is proof that these people don't care about the woman's health incase something does go wrong)

The worst part is that I don't even think some of these Republican politicians even have all the facts about abortion, and they're just making their decisions based on religion and what most Americans want.

No, most american's don't want abortion to be illegal.
only the catholic / zealot christian sects do.
Sure most american don't agree with abortion - but they realize it's something that should be legal.

An exceptionally vocal minority wants abortion to be illegal. That's always the problem, isn't it?

i told my mom about that picture and all she did was shake her head. i said it would be funny if it hadn't happened. we SRSLY need a pro-choice president in office in 2008.

On the bright side, that seems to have a damn good chance of happening.

Does it, really? America just seems to me to be becoming more anti-choice by the minute. But Obama and Hilary are the democratic candidates everyone's talking about, and they are pro-choice.

(They say Giuliani is, but he's not really all that pro-choice. He's just not going to attack abortion rights directly like the rest of the Republicans. )

That's better than attacking it directly. McCain is anti-abortion. Giuliani at the very least probably won't propose legislation, even if he will sign it.

Thus- Giuliani > McCain.

But then, I dislike Hillary for some of her other views, and I find it morally impossible for me to vote for her. I also find it morally impossible to vote for McCain. Yes, if it's one versus the other I'll vote 3rd party.

Hilary is pro-parental consent/notification, though. If I were American, she'd lose my vote.

i'm glad i'm not the only one. i've already decided if those two are the candidates i'm going to vote 3rd party as well. =/

Yikes. I was going to ask what she did, but she just lost my vote right there.

I'm a coward, though. This is my first time voting, and I've already decided that I'll just pick the most likely pro-choice/democratic candidate there is. My mom and sister, who are sick of watching their candidates lose every year, have basically told me that a vote against the one who seems likely to win is a vote for the candidate who you don't want to win. Depressing, but I agree. I'd rather have a somewhat-pro-choice Hilary than an anti-choice conservative Bush Jr.
