Hmm...how I discovered ZADR... My story is so boring! *whine*

Well, since about the time of 4th grade (....I've been a fangirl at heart for so long, just not of IZ) I got into the idea of fanfiction. Fanfiction.net became my internet home base.

Early into this fanficcing lifestyle of mine, I started playing Pokemon, and checked out that section of the site. Now, while I could make perfectly logical sense of all couples ending in '-shipping', I couldn't for the life of me figure out things like AAMR and JAJR. So, I stayed away.

Then, I started checking out the IZ section of FF.net and I saw the same phenomenon! In honor of my curiousity, I decided I'd read one to figure out this bizarre terminology.

Unfortunately, I didn't know what I was bargaining for, and found myself in a state of disturbed shock when I read my first ZADR (forgive me, I was young).

But, as they are wont to do, Zim and Dib hovered about in my brain, slowly leeching away my life force resistance, and before I knew what was going on, I was reading through the many chapters of Rilzit. End of story.

Well, I had always liked yaoi, but never thought I'd find this! I had just finished watching the entire series (for the 10th time) and decided to look up random stuff on deviantart not too long ago. Lo and behold, stuff with Zim and Dib start popping up. It did not take me long to get hooked. Of course, BRB suicide and Rilzit kept me from ever leaving, as well as some other things I shall not mention. wink

Yea, something like that here. But because my internet used to be bad and too expensive, I was saving up all my reads to read when I was disconnected. So yesh, can say with 75% thrutfulness that I started reading guy romance when I was about 12, maybe 13, good old times ^^;

It took some getting used to, I remember looking away from the screen over a little kiss and taking reading breaks to get something to drink over every hint of a make out scene XD

Then I gots used to it

...then I moved to AFF

Then, nothing surprised me anymore ^^;

I had a lot of those. It's funny because I dun remember drinking so much water/juice ever before/after that stage XD
I always minimalized it when going to get the drink. I dunno why, my parents don't understand English and my brother did barely, so yesh ^^;

Before I gots into the whole slash thing, I hads straight people in love trying to kill each other. Now, I have straight AND gay folks in love trying to rip each others bloody beating hearts out of their very living chests. Life is phun like that ^^-

...now that I think about it, I'm not exactly sure where was that time of innocence there...O_=;

I remember when IZ first graced the unworthy pixels of my T.V, I was too young to understand the greatness that is Jhonen Vasquez. I was only 8, I need to forgive myself sweatdrop . The reason I really got into IZ is a silly one. Going to Hot Topic and seeing all the Zim stuff, I was enthralled. I had to learn more about this show I had mostly forgotten. So i looked up stuff on Wiki, and learned the basics, watched some epi's on Youtube, and was hooked. My drift into ZADR happened once a started getting into slash more. I searched for stuff on DA and FF.net, and along the way, I came across ICY, by Tavalya Ra. That's what really converted me to slash heart . Now I shall continue the tradition of converting my friends (and possibly my family cool ). It shall not be an easy task, for I know many stubborn people, but I shall prevail!!! Wow.... that was a lot of words.... burning_eyes .

believe it or not, I started out reading Jhonen's comics like, Squee, Ifeel Sick and JTHM...then I found out about the cartoon Invader Zim, I loved it instantly heart and then about a year or two I really got into "pairings" Zim/Dib, BB/Rae, Kyle/Stan, and Edd/Eddy are what i'm obsessed with >_< but I always have special love for Zim/Dib, I just love....zenophilia :3 4laugh
