-The days of excitement were long gone. Or atleast, had alluded the preistess-in-training since the winter months had fallen upon the town. And now finally as the days crept into warmth everything still seemed to creep along at the pace of a snail.

Drills and classes she knew like the back of her hand. Younger and younger orphans that seemed to find more fun among themselves then hanging with an overly brash oldy like her.

Watching the clouds float by at a fittingly slow pace, Prier let her mind drift as her legs dangled from the stone wall. She was supposed to be something. DO something. The best of the best. Not rotting her time away under the thumb of the sisters.-

Noir preferred his own company. And in the darkhaired boy's mind, "fun" was actually managing to achieve that rare solitude.

He hadn't been successful in that as of late. This strange place was full of strange people, and all of them seemed to delight in making themselves obnoxiously introduced. His thin lips tightened in a frown. There were far more urgent things on his mind than false pleasantries. How could they even make themselves pretend otherwise?

He was someone before this, he had to be. He was not born a lanky youth, dressed in the robes of a religion he barely knew. The lack of memory in how he came to this place and that his life before he did was maddening. It was like a pit inside him, a sick swirl of loss that he HAD to understand, yet there were no pieces to this puzzle to be found here.

He closed his eyes as a breeze caught him as he turned the high wall of the church, and he sighed. Somehow, this place managed to comfort him, even a little bit. Likely the lack of curious children more than anything else. There were no pieces to the puzzle here, either.

Opening his eyes at last, they narrowed in annoyance to catch sight of a pair of legs waving atop the high wall.

There was no point in trying to avoid it. He wanted to go that way, and if the toll was suffering another fool, it was a price he'd paid before.
