I have a few questions:
1. How do you make/get a private server?
2. Is it legal to use/own one?
If you know anything about them?

Discussion of private servers is not allowed in this guild, as it's against the WoW ToS.
To answer your question, no, private servers are not legal.

While discussions about private servers aren't allowed, I just want to clarify this fairly quickly, and show off my new mod powers by posting in a locked thread! 3nodding
Private servers for your own use that you don't open to the public are, in fact, not illegal. But setting up private servers that go through the internet and other people are allowed to connect too, are illegal. You'll get an even bigger fine for them if you charge people to play on them.
