Update on my life. stare
Today I learned to differentiate between macrophages that have been infected with ADA laboratory strain of HIV. It's all about syncytia! Even though I'm skeptic because Clade C is know not to cause syncytia so detecting degree of infection will be somewhat difficult. sweatdrop
Lunch today was fun, Yang took us (3 girls + Yang, a guy) to lunch at The Rice Bowl. If you're ever in Omaha, they got great Chinese food. Although I highly suggest eating at JC Mandarin and ordering from the Chinese Menu. I went there last month with all my lab and my boss ordered so much food! It was all delicious and really weird stuff. biggrin
I'm missing Justas... party and drunk fest... traditional to all universitarians back home. crying
I tried hard to keep myself from falling asleep in class today but I know the material already so it was kind of boring! Oh, I have to punch holes into the hand out... rolleyes
What else? Oh, signaling group meeting with the boss today. It went long... I got home well after seven pm. I wanna eat sushi soon, maybe after I get my paycheck.
I love Puerto Rican and Cuban food, Greek food is awesome and so is Chinese and Japanese food! heart heart
arrow Does anyone like sushi? or what is your favorite ethnic food?
PS: Yes I use an insane ammount of emoticons...you should see my msn msg

I don't like sushi. I don't like fish period. Maybe vegitarian sushi, I can handle. XP
I like mexican...is that ethnic? But then my parents are mexican so it's what I grew up eating and I love it. I can stick to the same foods.
I like some Chinese...never had Japanese..so I don't know...I tend to stay in the familiar with foods.

I'm done with classes for now until June 14th when I start Fundamentals of cell and tissue culture. I gotta write a supplemental and then a fellowship (F31) so I can get funding. It's raining so I'm happy cause I like rain but then sad 'cause I can't see the stars at night. Although lightning is beautiful to look at.

blank... I'm sleepy and I have no clue why I got up at 0638 ona Sunday morning. I've been handed the job of writing a review about my project to be published in J Vir. I know it's a good think but that means I'll have no summer. I'm trying to go to 3 Renaissance Fairs this summer. The one in Nebraska naturally, Kansas City Missouri I think and one in the mountains in Colorado. I need to finish my costume. When my friends ask me why, I just reply and why not? I love being in dresses and I don't have that opportunity often. I mean I work in BioSafety Level 3 so it jeans and sneakers every day.
I got my sun tan back. Ever since I moved here I've been getting whiter and whiter. I'm tired of people making fun of me 'cause I'm too white. Long story short, my lab went on a picnic by the Missouri river. We fished, ate, played volleyball, bacchi ball (why do people call it beche ball? It's Italian for kissing ball isn't it? so it should be pronounced Baki), croquet and kick ball. I was the captain of team A and we won 8-3, my boss was in my team. We spent 20 minutes explaining to the Chinese how to play. It was a great game!

Sounds like you had a lot of fun. Was the river still high? Here in Missouri it actually went to flood stage for a while because of all the rain that we have been having (thankfully has stopped).
