The forest was fairly alive with noise. Crickets were chirping, the breeze was causing the foilage to shiver with excitement. A trill of an unhappy bird pierced out above everything else.
With almost no sound of human contact, it was then that there was a loud explosion. Directly north of where Arthur stood. A large puff of smoke could be seen rising in the distance.

Arthur frowned and back to Pegasus he headed towards the smoke, wherever this was he hoped he wasn't about to stumble accross any NEW problems. He sighed and looked around trying to get his bearings and frowning down at his empty scabbard, he had tossed his sword to Kida the other day and Nimue hadn't given him Excalibur. He shook his head and lowered towards teh smoke.

As Arthur drew closer to the smoke, a clearing came into a view. Dead set in the center of this clearing was a small hovel of a house with a straw roof and a crooked chimney. From within the house, a slew of agitated words came flinging out. It sounded like an eldery man, a whisp in the voice gave that much away.
There was a dirty window facing in Arthur's direction. A body could be seen moving about, but it was difficult to make out.

Arthur headed down lower cautious and blinked something seemed...familiar. He landed and dismounted gently stroking Pegasus mane and heading to the door to knock and be sure all was well, perhaps ask for directions.

The closer Arthur came to the door, he realized more than one voice could be distinctly heard. One was much younger, and seemed distressed as the older one continued.
"There! You see? I'm a horrible, grouchy old man!"

Arthur blinked and knocked lightly, but maybe he didn't WANT to become aquainted with this 'horrible grouchy old man...' so familiar. He shook off the sensation and knocked again a bit more firm.

"What is it?" this behaggled old man came to the door. His face was old, old as it sounded and then some. He had a small pair of spectles resting at the end of his nose and a long white beard. Upon his head was a strange looking hat. It should likely have been pointing straight up, but it seemed to have flopped over and carried an odd looking purple soot over it.
"Can't you tell I'm very bu..." the old man's words cut short as he adjusted his spectacles, squinting his haggered eyes at the young man who'd come to his door.
"Arthur? But how can this be?"

Arthur gulped and stood rivited his mind was trying to reach back and grasp at memories buried too far down. "I...Um...saw smoke and I was...I mean I thought perhaps you could use some help." He stared at the old man and suddenly had the urge to tell him about Nimue keeping Excalibur and her riddles and words that made hardly any sense at all. Instead he bit his tounge and tried to figure out how the man knew his name. "How do you know who I am?!" he blinked.

"How do I, H-how do I know you?" the old man began to laugh then, shaking his old and wrinkled head causing his hat to wobble as though it would fall off.
Of course, it didn't. It did however slide down to his nose and he pushed it back up to the top of his head. All the while, a small boy with moppish hair poked his head out from around the man. He was small and thin. Stickly thin either. One would wonder how he was even able to walk on such legs that he had.
"Merlin, what's going on?"
'Merlin' looked down to the child and ushered him away. "It's best you leave boy, you need no part of this."
"But Merlin..."
"Did I not just say to leave? Get going and come back first thing tomorrow morning!"
"Yes sir!" with this the young man excused himself as he scuttled passed Arthur, heading off into the forest thickets.
"Now, where were we?"

Arthur blinked and watche dthe boy go feeling the oddest sense of dejavu. He looked at the old man again and then around. "I...Well all seems to be well here...I...better head off...I'm a bit lost..." It rankled him that he had managed to get lost but thinking on it he was suddenly worried he wasn't 'lost' at all but that he had been sent off...in another time...and certainly another place.
