Erin sat, rather gloomily, on a bench on the boundary of the park. He looked down at his shoes, shuffling them slowly. Ivey blue eyes fell half lidded as he stared at the ground, looking tired and weary.
What a horribly long day... He sighed and arched his back, stretching and letting it pop. He glanced up, looking up and down the sidewalk for a moment as he waited for the bus to come and take him home.

Chase swung his tail to-and-fro while quirking an eyebrow at the man behind the hotdog stand. His claws were latched onto the cart, shaking it a bit. As the man let out a small meep and handed over the hotdog Chase then leapt at it and crept away, all to the other mans relief. It seemed to be a weary day. Nothing much interesting to the chinchilla actually had occurred except perhaps lunch. Well, the snack was amusing but not really the point I guess. As he nibbled on the bread bun he eyed the normally empty bus stand and found himself almost chocking on the bread a second later.
"Que.. pasa?" he squeaked out, still slightly munching. It didn't matter to him that no one really knew Spanish, it wasn't like he did anyway. Perhaps it just fit as a hello to him more than a normal one would.

The boy squeaked and jumped, almost falling forward off of the bench. Ice eyes widdened as he blinked slowly at Chase, taking a full minute or so to calm down and relax his body. Cheeks flushed and he looked down, embarassed by how jumpy he always was. His short black tail twitched on the bench beside him.
"I... don't speak Spanish..." He glanced at him, hair falling over his eyes. His voice was suprisingly emotionless and soft.

With a small chuckle Chase took another small nibble from his hotdog and brushed his tail alongside the bench this new person was sitting on. As he let it slide against the metal he also let it faintly brush against the strangers legs a bit before he dragged it back behind him. Eh? Who does around here?" He crumbled up the paper that had once held his food only after sniffing at it a bit. With a toss it was eventually in the trash bin nearby, only after having missed a few times though. Hw crept back to the bench and twitched one single ear, now finally realizing he had no clue what to say.
"Sooo ... bus? Where ya headed?" was muttered out as he fiddled with his thumbs and leaned against the bench.

Erin blushed slightly as the tail brushed his leg, frowning and seeming a bit uncomfortable from the touch. The frown was replaced with a small smile when he tried over and over to get the paper into the trash can..
"Home..." He blinked up at him, his long bangs still covering one eye. "Are.. you waiting for the bus too?" His tail and ears twiched every few seconds, his hands rubbing together nerviously in his lap.

Seeing the ferret smile brought a gleam in his eyes.
"Home?"
One of his ears ended up drooping a bit before perking back up. "Heh, I escaped from mine not long ago. Wasn't a pleasant place, kinda boring too" He let his tail twirl about, knocking wherever it pleased. It's not like he had the mind to tame it. He stared at the bus sign and mused over the times it had for pick-ups.
"I'm creeping you out aren't I dude? The names Chase ... and .. I don't know if I plan on riding the bus. I'm debating on just walking" He titled his head before extending an arm out for a hand-shake. Whether it would be accepted or not wasn't really a bother to him.

He thought for a moment, pondering if he had creeped him out or not. "..No... I don't think you are... I... I'm pretty skiddish." He nodded, blinking up at him slowly. "Sorry, I act like this with pretty much everyone. It's takes awhile.. for me to loosen up."
He frowned at the offered hand for a moment, almost refusing it.. but he didn't want to be THAT rude. With a gulp he slowly reached out, shook his hand once, then pulled it back. "I'm Erin.."

With a smirk Chase took a bow and finally let his tail slink down. "Well now, Erin's a nice name indeed. No need to be skitterish around me, I don't bite very often." He loosened up and went back to staring at the bus-stop sign. His face lost emotion for a bit as he lifted up one paw to scratch at his chin. "Eh, not many places alive this time of day. Wonder where I could find some fun .." He slunk away from the bench slightly, realizing that being ever so friendly around a complete stranger might seem a bit too odd. Still, being odd was something he didn't really mind in the long run. He eyed Erin and pondered a bit. "Hey... you mind if I tag along?" he muttered while scratching his head. "I don't really have much money to go on and a tiny bit of food would be nice. Of course I could pay with anything other than say.. money" With a twitch he frowned and slunk even further from the bench and to the roadside. Random request for food, how nice. He was seeming more like a hobo each day.

Erin blinked at him wide eyed for a moment, ears standing strait up until they slowly flipped down against his hair. He blushed and glanced away. "Uhh.. You mean.. Come home, with me..?" His ears twitched, along with his shoulder. A nervious habit. "Well.. I..um..." HOW exactly would he pay him...? Another gulp. But Erin had a hard time saying no to people. Especially someone in need. He said he didnt have any money.. He could spare alittle food. "I'm afraid all I have is leftovers..."
