I saw "An Inconvenient Truth" last night. I was very moved by it (call me a wuss, but I had to keep myself from crying because of the damage being done to our home.) I think it's rather far-fetched to think that global warming doesn't exist, conspiracy or not. Doing something to help the environment (and the planet in general) is what I most definitely want to do with my life, even if it's help in the smallest way. What bothers me the most though is that we have the capability to put an end to the damage we're causing, yet we do nothing. It drives me crazy. gonk

It is. <=( Seeing "An Inconvenien Truth" makes me wish we had a president that actually bothered to acknowledge this stuff. sweatdrop It's up to our generation now; I mean, I only hope we can make the right decisions instead of worrying about the things that don't matter at all *coughmoneycough*

The whole fact that it's up to our generation to make right choices for the earth scares me though. Almost half of our generation is completely stupid. And I see people on the bus throwing trash out the window and I get so mad, because I've always hated pollution. I just hope that our generation starts using their brains and helps stop this.

I'm glad there are some people who care. It's very rare I come across people who do. I try to do me best with recycling and contributing to environmental causes, but I find it hard to get others to do so.
Looking at what other people carelessly do to this world makes me physically sick. Believe me, I've seen this stuff first hand and not just in pictures.
As for the subject of global warming. I do think we (people) are heavily contributing to it. I know the planet goes through different cycles, but never this quickly.

Like a lot of good, responsible parents today used to be jerky little kids, hopefully they'll grow out of it and wise up.

Emily`s_Gone_Mad I was browsing through the news articles and came accross some serious matters concerning global warming. I know it's a real problem, there's lot's of evidence to support it, but I also know there are alot of skeptics out there. "The tsunami in the South Pacific, Hurricane Katrina and the unseasonable heat in late winter and early spring are all signs that the weather is just going to continue changing." sourceI even came across this article that say's Global Warming is a hoaxe and that's it's a liberal conspirecy. Check it out hereThey even provide you alink to a film caled the "Global Warming SWindle" It's retarded, but I'm open to the other side. It's true that throughout history the temperature of the earth has changed dramatically. WE have the ice age to show that, also ancient species that have gone extinct due to dramatic temperature changes, but those kind of changes take millions of years, and we are doing what happens in millions of year in a span of like 100yrs. Since the start of the industrial revolution we have started to speed up the procces of warming the earth and changing the temperature extreamly. Former Vice President Al Gore made a documentary called 'An Inconvinient Truth' I myself actually havent seen it, but I'm sure it's a good film and based off very factual information. *goes to rent* Al Gore has gone out of his way to do everything he can to make Global Warming an issue for everyone, because everyone needs to be aware of what is happening. In the news articles today This is what I came accross: Al Gore Urges Congretional action on Global WarmingHere are some videos I think are interesting to watch: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7860276510803565967&q=global+warming+news+al+gore&hl=en^^Formor Vice President Al Gore http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5598146823291526903&q=global+warming+news+al+gore&hl=enABC News (short clip) With Al Gore http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2078944470709189270&q=global+warming+news+al+gore&hl=en^^Preview for Inconvinient truty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VS1zLSJH0VQFox News What are your opinions on Global warming? Have any video's to share about Global warming? It happens that I today had a lecture of a geology professor who told that we are overexagerating our contribution to global warming. I'll submit his arguments later; I've got to go now...

Global Warming is real. And for those who don't think so...need to get a reality cheack...punched in the face or something. XP
I read somewhere that we are expericencing an extream amount of extintions in the past few hundred years and animals that are endangered just keeps going up.
I think that's an evident sighn of something being really wrong with our climate.
Fine if you don't want to believe it's man made, (in my oppinoin that is the most silly statement ever) but it's deffinatly real.

Yes our climate is changing. Is it all humans faults?? I don't think so. While I don't think we are doing enough to be environmentally friendly I refuse to believe that the bad bad humans are totally to blame. Natural cycles have a lot to do with it. Not to say that humans don't have anything to do with it, but I am not gonna say bad humans.

We are terrible human's! Destroyers of all earth!
All man kind has ever done is destroy one another and tear apart this planet and those that inhabit it. Maybe not YOU yourself...but mankind in general is evil.
3nodding wink
There are plenty of examples... Most famous WWII the genocide of the native american people... the genocide of the buffalo... *tears*
Evil. Evil I say!

If we want a functioning society like we do today, we won't be able to be good for the environment AND have value. Our suburban life style is taking its toll on the Earth and either we start to build up cities in more density to reduce driving distance and therefore lower co2 levels. We won't have new energy sources that function well enough to help this cause. Ethanol is out because it takes more oil to make it than it produces energy, hydrogen is too undeveloped and is in the same state as ethanol. Fusion is just ridiculous and takes up WAAAY too much energy to sustain it. In a matter of speaking, we are screwed for the next century.

Glenn Beck Special on CNN Headline News *waits to get boo'd and hissed*
From Myspace Bulletin: Last November, I asked you to spread the word about my special about Radical Islam. I promised that if the special got good ratings, we'd be able to do even more specials about topics that matter to people like you & I.
Well...you delivered. The show was the highest rated show on cable news, and it was the 2nd highest rated show in the history of Headline News.
So now it's time for me to deliver on my side of the bargain. On Wednesday night at 7pm & 9pm ET on Headline News, I will present our 2nd special. This time, we take on all of the Global Warming hype and expose what's really happening. We'll show you all the holes in Al Gore's version of "climate change" and we'll expose the alarmists who exaggerate the impact of climate change for political benefit.
But I have to ask you to do it again...PLEASE call/email/text/myspace everyone you know, no matter if they believe every word Al Gore says or none of it. It truly is worth seeing both sides of the debate. And once again, the more people who watch, the more of these we'll be allowed to do.
Thanks for your support, glenn
