I think that we should make an effort to save all animals even the one's
that aren't so cute. (even the one's that are a little scary)

Most of the animals going extinct today are directly or indirectly the cause of Human interferance.
There are sooo many more people in this world than there were a few centuries ago, and alot of them are just ruthless, heartless and vicious without any kind of compassion for other species. I know quite a bit of people that don't have a problem with killing animals just because...just because they are animals.
Most of them I work with, in fact the other day, there was a little bird baby bird in the work area and one of the management team picked it up as it was a baby and seemed to have an injured leg. Well later I found out that he took it outside and killed it with a rock. eek I was literally going to cry. Why?! I said Why?! Would you do that?
I would of happily taken it home and taken care of it as I have many injured animals in the past including birds and squirls. I was heartbroken.
He said, well it looked all ugly and I'm not a fan of birds anyways. stare
Are you serious I said. How sad. How utterly sad.
I would never be able to do something like that. He could of easily just placed it outside, the Mama bird could of been flying around out there...
Serioulsy to me that's just phycotic.

There is this other coworker of mine who a few days ago was talking about going snake hunting. I was like..."ok..?" and I asked do you eat snakes or something? And she said "...no...I just like to kill them cuz they are evil" stare It's not just her either, but I know many people feel this way.

Yeah I know some animals are dangerous to us, and we want to be safe, but there are other ways to safeguard ourselves besides jumping on the bandwaggon and killing animals cuz they are "evil".

If you don't want snakes in your yard...then keep it clean. Less chance of encountering a snake.
Seriously, if your going to live in a junkyard chaces are your going to find a snake because more than likely you have a S**tload of rats.

Any species being threatened should have some ways to prevent it becoming extinct I believe, though alot of groups tend to look over some. Kind of pointless to only save some when you say you're trying to save all that are threatened as some groups seem to do.

i think that sharks being hunted solely on their reputation of being a killer is arrogant.if u don use the whole shark it might be ok, but not just killing them for their teeth so you can make a souviner necklace.but if their is a shark whose been attacking people then i say we should humanely kill them.

Personally, I don't think sharks are all that scary. They are beautiful, graceful animals that evolved 400 million years ago. oVer spring break, I went cage diving off of South Africa with Carcharodon carcharias (the Great White Shark). Sharks are the apex predators of the sea. In the Pleistocene epoch (around 1.5 million years ago) a the shark called the Megalodon existed. It is in the genus Carcharodon or Carcharocles (scientists are unsure of which genus it should be classified into, but many favor Carcharocles. Megalodon could grow to 15.9 metres (52 ft) in length. However, new and larger teeth have been excavated and suggest that Megalodon could grow to even larger sizes. Megalodon dentition is simialr to that of Carcharodon carcharias but Megalodon have more regular serration patterns and are much larger and can measure more than 18 cm in slant.

Aw, poor sharks. The worst thing about shark fin soup is that the fins are cut off when the shark is still alive, the its body is dumped overboard. sad
