Interesting way of asking. Normally one would ask first, and insult when the request is refused.

I am so sorry you have to deal with that on a regular basis. I have never received a paper quite that bad, but I have seen ones that were pretty atrocious. One girl I tutor uses the conjunctive adverb "for" wrong all the time.
For example:
I cannot go with you, for I have something I need to do.
While it might be grammatically correct, it sounds bad to the ear. I do stress "might be" in that though.
