Alright, I'm reading Romeo and Juliet(We're almost done! xD) in my english class right now and I actually did this a few weeks ago but I was looking through my DA account and found this and figured I would put it here for your guys' enjoyment.=D (My DA is http://idiotwithacause.deviantart.com if anyone was wondering what it is.)

If anyone is wondering what the hell this is, it's the Queen Mab speech Mercutio does towards the beginning of the play which it really long and we had to get one of the worst readers in the class so it took FOREVER to read, which is when I got the idea for this. Here's the speech so you can see how long it really is.

O, then, I see Queen Mab hath been with you.
She is the fairies' midwife, and she comes
In shape no bigger than an agate-stone
On the fore-finger of an alderman,
Drawn with a team of little atomies
Athwart men's noses as they lie asleep;
Her wagon-spokes made of long spiders' legs,
The cover of the wings of grasshoppers,
The traces of the smallest spider's web,
The collars of the moonshine's watery beams,
Her whip of cricket's bone, the lash of film,
Her wagoner a small grey-coated gnat,
Not so big as a round little worm
p***k'd from the lazy finger of a maid;
Her chariot is an empty hazel-nut
Made by the joiner squirrel or old grub,
Time out o' mind the fairies' coachmakers.
And in this state she gallops night by night
Through lovers' brains, and then they dream of love;
O'er courtiers' knees, that dream on court'sies straight,
O'er lawyers' fingers, who straight dream on fees,
O'er ladies ' lips, who straight on kisses dream,
Which oft the angry Mab with blisters plagues,
Because their breaths with sweetmeats tainted are:
Sometime she gallops o'er a courtier's nose,
And then dreams he of smelling out a suit;
And sometime comes she with a tithe-pig's tail
Tickling a parson's nose as a' lies asleep,
Then dreams, he of another benefice:
Sometime she driveth o'er a soldier's neck,
And then dreams (I only got to here in the writing in the background.) he of cutting foreign throats,
Of breaches, ambuscadoes, Spanish blades,
Of healths five-fathom deep; and then anon
Drums in his ear, at which he starts and wakes,
And being thus frighted swears a prayer or two
And sleeps again. This is that very Mab
That plats the manes of horses in the night,
And bakes the elflocks in foul sluttish hairs,
Which once untangled, much misfortune bodes:
This is the hag, when maids lie on their backs,
That presses them and learns them first to bear,
Making them women of good carriage:
This is she--

I remember the Queen Mab speech. I also recall the modern Romeo and Juliet one...where Mercutio was in drag...ugh... burning_eyes

He did kind of ramble on, didn't he?

You mean the one with Leonardo DeCaprio? I hated the way they made Tybalt in that one.

Yes! gonk He did ramble, even when he way dying he just kept talking and talking. He has the greatest line ever as he gets stabbed though! 'I am hurt.' Greatest understatement of the century!

Yeah, that one. I hated that one period. The remake of Macbeth I had to watch was much better.

I forgot about the "I am hurt!" line. That one is awesome.

It was my over-dramatic friend who was Mercutio that day too so she was being all like' -gasp!- I am hurt! -gasp!- [yadda yadda insert Mercutio's dying speech here] -falls off table-' (We always sit on the table in the front of the room when reading)

(The male characters are almost always played by girls since we're the only ones who want to read. I got Tybalt all the times he was in the play! Even when he died! It was fun. xD)
