Snowflake barked excitedly and ran towards the river with Serenity still on her back. The puppy was full of energy, and jumped and ran in no particular direction, going in circles, not quite chasing her tail but almost trying to chase Serenity.

Serenity shrieked and fell off Snowflake's back, giggling as she tumbled head over heels in the grass.

Skye kept working on the mat, her fingers nimbly weaving the grass in and out, her eyes watching it, but her mind busy with other matters, unknown to anyone besides herself.

The sun was high in the sky by the time everything was ready. Elnara wiped a beat of sweat from her brow, then called all of the children over to help hold up the walls.

"Can I tie the walls together, Mommy?" Celebor asked eagerly, his wide green eyes bright with excitement.

Elnara shook her head. "Next time," she smiled. "But for now I need you to make sure that you hold the walls up very still so that they don't fall. Can you do that for me?"

Serenity rubbed her forehead and swiped back a wisp of hair that was in her face. "How long is this going to take, Mommy?" she asked in an exhausted voice. "It's heavy."

"Only a few minutes, sweetheart," Elnara murmured, tying Serenity's corner first.

Skye was pushing against her wall with all her might, digging her toes into the ground for more leverage. Her wings were beating forcefully, helping her to put a little more weight into it.
