inblood_isoak Alot of people called me Satan and Devil Girl. I didn't encourage this. They also called me goth but 1. I don't consider myself goth and 2. I know it has nothing to do with religion. One time this emo kid said "Just go home, light some candles and make yourself disappear!" This is also the kid that called me Devil Girl. I ignored his immaturity. If I lived by you I would kick his a$$...I hate when people sat stupid s**t like that!

But as angry as I was, he wasn't worth my time. I'd rather strap him to a chair and educate him. And if that doesn't work, just.. leave him strapped to the chair for a while. Lolz

SolitaryChild People say that to me too. I hate it most when they say we believe in 'the devil'. evil I went to a Christian 3-day camp. where I met this awesomely fun dude. Trying to explain to my girlfriend how Wicca and paganism are not Devil-worship, this guy overhears. so we end up having a heated debate. He commented a few hours later (when the debate was over) that I held firm with my beliefs, which is somethign most christians he knew would not be able to do. Funny thing was that a few months later he converted to Wicca.

Im not exactly open about being pagan, but if somebody asks or its brought up somehow, i wont deny it. But because its not really brought out, im not really criticized for it. More often i am for the way i dress. it changes often, and usually isnt very in style. but its usually not nicknames, just insults here and there. I really dont face that many problems though. Once i told a girl i was pagan because i was study the sabbats during class and she asked about it. She didnt know what pagan was. I thought it was funny

People need to understand the true meaning of goth as opposed to the stereotype. A lot of Goths are in fact witches.
Goth doesn't mean that you wear black blah blah blah. People are just stereotyping.

Goth doesn't mean that you wear black blah blah blah. People are just stereotyping. Exactly! The whole "gothic" subculture started because of gothic music, am I right? That's how the "punk" stereotype started, too.

kyrana kirri Whenever Christians tell me "Wicca is a cult" I tell them theat Christianity is one, or at least was one at a time, Wicca is NOT. Cult: To follow a single LIVING person and follow what they say as the edicts of how you live your life. Jesus lived and was followed. The goddess was NEVER a living mortal being. 3nodding Nothing meant as disrespect to Christians here, just pointing out a little known and ironic fact. hehe i know and i used that in my history essay >.< hopefully i wont get in trouble for that.... i think they get miked up coz to be the occult or something.... meh... my cuz is a dickhead hes "christian" and saw my necklace and siad oh i know what that is its the sign of a devil worshiper.. and all the kids at school worship the devil didn't know u would too" grr!!! oh and my bf is gothic and wiccan..

I live in Kentucky, Somerset, Kentucky. Ever heard of it? I doubt it! Lol, it's just a dinky little town filled to the brim with Southern Baptists. You know how hard it is being Wicca in a town filled with... these... not to sound mean toward Southern Baptists, because I find nothing wrong with people having different views, but Southern Baptists are cuuuraazzy! Most of my friends don't like that I'm Wiccan, say it's not right, but they support me. It's kind of confusing, they don't like it that I'm apart of it, but they wouldn't try to convert me. I'm not openly Wiccan, but I won't deny it if asked. We have no Wiccan stores down here (they would have been burned down by now I assure you) but I wish we did, my ex-boyfriend is going to Indiana on break and going to bring me back some goodies. ^_^ heart
Once when I was suppose to bring in reading material I brought in a book on Wicca, and everyone like freaked out. And one really stupid girl that I dislike was like, "Oh! Like ohmigawd, can you make it rain?!" I wanted nothing more than to backhand her. Then, then! My teacher asked me to read some of it aloud... sweatdrop Well I read the part about what they did to witches (like, putting a bowl against the victims stomach and putting rats under the bowl, then lighting the bowl on fire so the rats would dig through the skin to get away from the heat... bleh) and everyone just stared at me. So I don't get too many questions from those people. razz
My boyfriend now is atheist, but he thinks my religion is pretty cool. I'm glad I got one of the few open-minded people in the world. heart heart ^_^ heart heart I hate people that stereotype, they make me want to become a hermit... evil

*rolls eyes* A kid today (a misinformed friend of mine) asked me in quite a rude way if I slaughtered goats.. I was tempted to go make some fake blood and pour it on him, but instead, I was a good girl and I explained what the Rede was, and how I am forbidden to "slaughter" anything with a brain. And then, just to make myself happy, I called him an a*****e, and threw a large book on world religions at him biggrin Education with a kick
Edit: Right, eh, I don't carry a large book on world religions with me everywhere or anything, but I'd just finished it, so it was in my backpack. Lolz.
