Sarina hadn't of course ever heard of a Lamya from anyone in her herd or otherwise but it wasn't really discussed, other than if they were slaves. Nodding to his next question the purple mare backed up before turning to walk down to the other end of the shoreline. Her tail flapped lightly in the winds as her eyes focused on her destination.
"Well I'd suggest being Miss Lamya's mate, since afterall she's a Bae. If we were to become, well, anything else....it'd be harder on you to see me, and I with you. The best of luck to you all the same though. Now if you follow me I'll see what I can do about you flyin'..."
She turned back around from glancing over at Vartan and then continued her trot to the end of the shoreline. The sand in her hooves was warm but not overly hot and yet it was hard to step on since some spots were deeper and dropped her into them a bit.
'A bae and a Jala, somehow I doubted that could ever happen. We'd both easily be hunted for such...'
Sarina thought to herself trying to reassure her own mind about the spoken words she'd just unleashed upon the stallion.

She slowed herself down so Vartan could catch up and trot beside her,
"Yes I'm fine. Why? Oh, why as in why'd it be best to take up a bae mate vs someone such as myself? Well simply put, I'm not sure how the next step, of being in a relationship or even raising a family would work. Many foals produced from such relationships are highly shunned, no matter the places they journey to."
As they reached the shoreline's end the mare slowly stopped her trot and turned around gracefully to face the way they'd just come.
"So, shall we go ahead and teach you to fly then?"

The mare just nodded, she saw no point in attempting to teach someone in the mood Vartan seemed to hold. Something surely had disrupted his joyful mood, most likely something she had either said or done. None the less it couldn't get to her, her heart and brain connected was like a barrior nobody in her world would ever break through. Shifting smoothly she took a step back and placed herself beside him,
"Alright then, whenever you feel you want to."
She watched as the sun was beginning to set. Soon, although nobody would honestly be looking for her she'd have to end this day and begin back to her herd. It was a long ways away, the mountains, and she didn't really feel safe traveling at night. The Jala herd was hated in most every form from most every set of breed out there, one alone was like a death wish. But she felt the urge to watch the sun set tonight, perhaps she'd head back tomorrow morning to the mountains.
"I understand, I think I'd be rather protective of my offspring as well. I just, well..."
Her coat shook in complete hate of the words she'd utter next,
"...Well, some of my herd or others of a nasty discipline would.....could...well, they'd be more apt to attack the little ones. And I'm a frail framed mare, against a group, I'd stand no chance, I know that well."
Sarina nuzzled Vartan in a attempt to settle whatever inner thoughts were bringing his spirit crashing downwards. When they'd first met she must've seemed mean and rude, but now, now she was showing a more caring side. It was a natural side that was brought out around most other's, although in her own herd she wasn't allowed to show weakness, and for the most part that included sweet kindness. Thus when she was free of their rule, she did enjoy showing her care for the world around her, including other breeds, although if ever caught she'd surely be hooved to death or enslaved for the remaining years of her life.
"I'm sorry, I must've killed your mood with this talk..."
Her voice was in a almost shy whisper as she laid her head down and watched the ocean waves rush in to take parts of the sand and then out to let them free.

Vartan's ears went back and he listened to her.He was getting a little mader at her words of what happen to the offspring. He got up and started paceing around."I wont let anyone hurt you...Even if..."He stoped and didn't say anything until."No you didn't Kill my mood. You would never kill my mood."He nuzzled her head and layed beside her.He didnt know what to do next sence they where only friends.

Watching the stallion intently Sarina noticed his anger and almost thought about backing off, it was getting late and perhaps it was time for her to find a spot to sleep for the night. Standing up gently the young mare nuzzled Vartan with her muzzle and turned to look at the ocean one last time.
"Well, not everything can be avoided."
Her voice went back to being dull and somewhat cold as she moved back to look at the bae stallion, he was still laying down. Sighing lightly Sarina started to turn away, ready to walk around closer to the woods to find a suitable place to spend the night.
"I thank you, it's very nice to hear someone be friendly and well, protective of me. But It's getting late, and being of that I think we should find somewhere to spend the night. If that's ok with you..."

"Not a problem, we'll be sure to get some good rest then huh?"
She laughed in a tired yet still playful manner before trotting up to catch up with him. Her tan hooves tranced across the sand delicately flipping sand either which way before they touched the smoother area of grass. It was darker now but Sarina could still see fairly well infront of her, she guided herself around a bush or two until finding a somewhat sheltered area to spend the night. The mare knew that there was always a chance of danger, thus she decided to pull herself in close to a rather large cluster of boulders while being hidden by soft ferns and growth. There were trees above her head, and yet she could still clearly see the stars.
"Stars are beautiful ya know....more beautiful than anything I've ever seen in this world..."
Sarina whispered happily as she lowered her head dozing in and out.
