Kalin just blinked a few times. "What ever I wish?"
She had no idea, she just blinked a few times, looked at him, then at the fox.
"Dr. Shoemocker... I'm a lawyer, not a story teller. My greatest wish is to become the DA."
She rubbed the back of her head, "... you have the wrong person doctor I'm no superhero... just an assistant..."
She could feel the sleep beginning to lift off of her, consciousness slowly creeping in the corners of her being.
"The best I ever came up with is some cliche fox character, with a mechanic arm for kicks.... made no sense what so ever... people just thought I ..." She rubbed her eyes now, finding it harder to concentrate on what they were talking about. "thought... I used it from... that stupid show... full metal...."

((Ok so I finally take the time to write up this post.... about to reply to Ember's... and it ate my post! So I'll write it again.... and then reply to BOOM on my second shift up here.... and I'm so sorry I haven't been posting (I'm assuming Ember is reading this too) but I just have not wanted to rp lately. :/ The fact that it ate my post kinda makes the desire less but we'll try again!))
Kalin's eyes suddenly opened, her vision blurred as she stared at the ceiling rather blissfully.
The best time of the day was right after you woke up and before you could remember anything. You couldn't remember how bad yesterday, or imagine how terrible today was going to be. And everytime she found herself in this state, she'd imagine the good things she was going to do today. And right now all she wanted to do was take a walk in the park, and a nap on the grass. She hadn't done that in a while since moving to Chicago.
And with this thought on her mind, she sat up, was about to slide off of the flimsy cot when harsh realization awoke her to full awarness.
This was not her room. Heck this was not even her office.
"Where.... hello?" She slowly pushed herself up from the cot, slowly starting to remember the events of the day so far, all up to Ryan leaving with the nurse. It got etchy from there.
"Hello!? Where is everyone?!" She called out. "Ryan? Officer Tucket?"
She walked to the door and reached out to the handle with her left hand, but stopped suddenly, bringing her hand to her face and moving each finger slowly.
It looked the same, sure. But something felt different. And the feeling was making her uneasy, causing her to take a step away from the door as goosebumps creeped along her skin.
"Anyone?"
