Just to put out an idea, how about David Bowie? Personally, I don't think that would be a great idea, but you never know.

rainyeyes29 Just to put out an idea, how about David Bowie? Personally, I don't think that would be a great idea, but you never know. No! Isn't he sorta weird? If he is weird, NO. The Doctor is supposed to be a bit strange, but not unbelievably weird. He's a normal person with a truckload of quirks. Normal enough you could hang around with him and not be disturbed by how weird he is. But... David Bowie is one of those weird-through-and-through glamrock types, right?
Correct me if I'm wrong. Please!

Wasn't Bowie in some 80's movie... Labyrinth or something? I don't think I'm too keen on the idea of the Doctor becoming something of a sexually androgynous Ziggy Stardust type character. Plus, wouldn't Bowie be in his 50's or 60's by now? Kinda too old for the part, methinks.
But since we're on the topic of singers, here's a horrible thought: they decide to replace the current cast with Billie Piper (returning as Rose Tyler) and that Robbie Williams guy as the 11th Doctor. And, in a clever marketing ploy to sell more soundtrack albums, the two of them sing duets randomly throughout every episode!
Bwahahahaha!!! pirate

(Which DT had a major part in, and in which they had these random singing-and-dancing interludes) I haven't, but having heard of it, it does strike me as an idea that they should have found an excuse to have Ten and Rose sing together. You know, something that fit in the plot somewhat. Just 'cos they can. You know, going incognito at a cabaret or something.
