Okay, so the new HP is out in a few days and a lot of us are excited. In the midst of the excitement, I was wondering about which Hogwarts houses we consider ourselves. An informal thread poll indicates a lot of Ravenclaws, so these results should be interesting. Post with your reasons, as well as your favorite house besides your own.

To refresh your memory:
Gryffindors are supposed to be courageous and bold.
Hufflepuffs are supposed to be loyal and hardworking.
Ravenclaws are supposed to be smart and love learning.
Slytherins are supposed to be cunning and ambitious.

I would hope I would be in Ravenclaw.

I took some sort of quiz on the official movie site or something and i got sorted into Ravenclaw. I also got my own wand and name :B

Going by the books, I think I'd have to sort myself into Gryffindor, because when I do look back at the things I've done, I've pushed forward and done a lot of things that other people who seem braver than me have shied away from. I mean stuff like getting a job (I'm in high school) or performing at a recital, not something illegal. It's a lot harder for me to perform at a recital or submit something to a contest or try to make friends with the new kid than it is for the other people, and I can feel my face light on fire whenever I do something like that, but I'm the only one who does it in the end.

But going by the traits you listed, I'd say Slytherin. I'm not bold. I'm not hard-working (I put a lot of effort into my tasks, but not time; hard-working implies a lot of time, doesn't it?). And though I like learning, it depends on what. By elimination, I'd be Slytherin. I'm not stupid, so I guess you could call me cunning if you wanted to, and I do have goals that I've striving for, which makes me ambitious.
