Oh my dad would have a bit to much pride for his own good and he would tell the nazi soldiers to die, then he would get killed and my family probably would to while I would escape like a coward.
The worries of if I get caught, as well as guilt for not dieing like my family, plus the guilt of hiding instead of facing the soldiers like my dad would lead me to get caught, and then I would die.
Also I would like to remember one specific person.
The VT shootout survivor whom was a holocaust survivor, and professor in his 70's, he died so his students could live, which while most people claim they would do such a thing in a clash, very very few of us really would, he was a holocaust survivor and a better person then most others. sad
In short though, yes I would die.

It made me cry, not only because he was a survivor, but because he died so that other would live. What an amazing act of humanity... We do not deserve.

Professor Liviu Librescu was a real hero, it's sad that this all happened on Yom ha Shoah and to a survivor. Makes one wonder did Cho Seung Hui AKA Ismael Axe(yeshu! poi poi poi!) know it was Yom ha Shoah? Did he target Librescu because he was Jewish? Should we fear a possible copy-cat killing on April 20th... the anniversary of the Columbine and hitlers(yeshu!) birthday.

I certainly hope not; it's apparently National Pot Day, too. *eye roll* I can't believe that he did that, and I think on Israel Independence Day, too? (Somebody correct me: I'm probably mistaken sweatdrop )

Ninanna Whether you know that or not, today is the Israeli Holocaust Martyrs & Heroes Remembrance Day. I read a reportage about Primo Levi; the reported chosen to open her written work as follows: ...."There is a question that I ask in an early phase of acquaintanceship with someone: if you had been in Europe at the beginning of the 40's, what would happen to you? Will you be alive? Dead? How?"I would like to know what do you think; do you think you will be able - physically and mentally, when it depends in you – to clutch at your lives? Or maybe the dehumanization and the inhuman situation/a physical defect/chronic disease and so on will defeats you? Please, make your answer be as honest as you can. To answer your question, I think that I would still be alive. My family are Russian jews, and I would probably be in Russia, not Germany or the other places... but, If I was in Nazi-Germany, I dont know.... I have a strong will to live, but I cant deal with alot of pain.... I guess it would have to depend on where I was, and who I was with, my sisters and my mom are strong people. They would probably give me a reason to go on... so would my father, who isnt jewish....

(Somebody correct me: I'm probably mistaken sweatdrop ) Israel Independence Day was on April 29 this year... And Primo Levi is a man, by the way...
And if that pshyco who went on the shooting spree at V-Tech was also an Anti-Semite, I'm really going to lose it.
