Well I'll give it a spin. ^_^ I actually have this up on Fictionpress, so those sneaky people that would like to come in here and grab things then gain credit won't be able to do anything with it through my proof that it's mine. I keep a close look on my work, besides, I'm an author, I'll always be revising and editing, fixing and changing, so whatever you run off with will be nothing like and much worse then what I actually come out with in the end. ^_~
*Just a warning*
This is a story based on my original characters that I've been toying around with for several years, I'm planning on making it long, and yes, the title is what it is called-- at least for now. Constructive crit is always welcome, as long as you don't say I 'spelt' something wrong when you yourself don't spell something correctly. ^_~
Spelt: a hardy variety of wheat of inferior quality, sometimes grown in mountainous regions
Yes, I believe those are all of my warnings... *scratches back of neck thoughtfully* I'm a bitter person if you decide to be snide, and I don't take kindly to rude comments... so keep it civilized and helpful and we won't have a problem! 3nodding

This is my first real attempt to put something of any value on here. If you have any problems with the characters or where the story is going, please do not fuss to me. I have better things to do then listen to someones whining about not liking my style of work. If you think you have some helpful hints, or some helpful critisism and know how to put it up without offending anyone, please do, I am open to opinions as long as it isn't flaming.
This is an intro.
ATTENTION: All of the characters in this story belong to me. They are not fashioned after any other character, nor do they belong to another author. These characters are mine. Please do not use them without my permission. If you do, and I catch you, I will not hesitate to report you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --He fell to the ground, blood on his hands, blood on his clothes; his body reeked of stale blood, new blood. Looking up, his eyes focused on what he had done, and he felt sick. No... There was movement behind him, small footsteps. Wary footsteps. He didn't move, willing himself dead before they got to him. Gravel crunched suddenly, the footsteps scrurried away. A hand was laid on his shoulder, firm but gentle.
--"Are you finished, Greg?"
--"Finished...?" He hadn't been aware of his voice until it croaked out, hoarse. What had he done to be finished with? Memories flashed back; bloody, screams, terror, and ice cold rage. He spoke in a mere whisper. "Yes."
--"Let's go then." The others voice resembled a deep purr, gentle but deep enough to be coming from a dangerous animal. However, it was a voice he knew, not something to be afraid of.
--He stumbled to his feet with help from the other man. His hair was sticky with blood, his clothes stiff with it. The blood wasn't his. He had to wash it off. Slowly, then with better footing, he walked away from the gristly scene that was once his mercinary 'buddy'. The other man walked alongside him silently, there for support even if he didn't ask for it.
--Look forward... look forward... never look back...

((Thank you. ^_^))
This is the first chapter. Again, please do not complain to me if you do not like my writing style. If you decide to complain about my spelling, please be sure that you yourself spell words correctly. Thank you for not being overly dramatic.

Chapter One: Shadows in the Trees
--The bell rang; students hurriedly jumped up, ready to leave the room and the building. One student, however, stayed sitting at her desk. Her head was down, resting on her folded arms. She was asleep. Another young woman walked up and sighed, crossing her arms in disdain.
--"Asleep again?" She muttered, leaning down and picking up a pair of glasses that had long since fallen on the floor. "You're lucky these things aren't broken, hey!" The girl who had been sleeping twitched slightly, opening her eyes partially. "You awake sleepy-head? You missed class, again. If you keep doing that then you're going to get in trouble- like expelled." The girl brushed her shoulder length brown hair out of her face and frowned when she realized the other had fallen back asleep. "Cait!"
--"'m up." Caitlyn opened her eyes again, resigning to sitting up. She blinked when she realized the world had gotten considerably fuzzy. "Hey.. Sienna..."
--Sienna, with a roll of her eyes, handed Cait her glasses, "Y'know Cait, one of these days you're going to lose or break these, maybe both. Then what will you do?"
--"Buy contacts." Cait yawned, perching the specs on her nose delicately.
--"And if you lose those?"
--"I'm screwed. Doomed to watch a fur-covered world forever." She brushed back her long, dusty brown hair from her eyes and stood up, stretching. The classroom was empty. Strangely, even the teacher was gone. Caitlyn grabbed her notepad, looking around under the desk for her pen. She had only fallen asleep because the talk had been boring, as it was every day. The teacher should've been used to it by then, she didn't think that he'd be too upset.
--Sienna sighed, watching her friend pick up her things, "You know, you really need to learn how to organize. You're so messy!"
--"I am not!" Cait defended herself, "I'm just... living in a disorganized order." She found her pen and grabbed it, tossing it into her paper stuffed bag. Sienna only shook her head, deciding not to argue the point at the moment. Cait looked over at her friend and added, "At least I know where everything is."
--"Unless it's your homework, right?"
--"Oh, shut up! You're not much better!"
--"Really? I thought I actually turned in my assignments, but since you're always awake, you must've caught me without the paper in my hands."
--Cait frowned at Sienna and threw a crumpled up piece of paper at her. "You know, one of these days, homework will be a thing of unnecessary consequence."
--"Do you even know what you just said?" Sienna quirked an eyebrow as Cait shouldered her bag, blinking.
--She paused. "Not really, no."
--"Thought not." Sienna giggled and dodged the next piece of paper that flew at her from Cait's hands. "C'mon, let's go home. Unless you have someone to see?"
--Cait glowered at her friend, "No. No one. He was a jerk anyway." She quickly tied her hair back in a loose braid, allowing some strands to fall out and frame her face softly.
--"Denied?" Sienna threw her friend a sympathetic look, crossing the room.
--"Laughed at." She sighed, following. "By him and his friends. Stupid jocks."
--Sienna sighed, making another sympathetic sound and walked out of the classroom, pausing slightly so Cait could catch up and they could walk side by side. "Do you want to meander around a bit first then?" She looked over to see Cait shake her head. "All right. Well, let's take the short cut through the park, kay? We'll get home faster that way."
--"Ooo, the spooky park!" Cait grinned, shrugging her shoulders as her bag dug into them. She frowned and shifted the weight. With all the paper it was heavy. She would have to clean it when she got home that night.
--The brown haired girl looked at Cait and laughed, "Yes, the spooky park. I'm sure it'll be filled with ghouls and ghosts and demons tonight. It is a full moon after all."
--"Full moon..?" Cait paused and looked out the window. The sky was darkening. "Why don't we go to a normal school? One that ends at 2pm?" She dropped her head slightly and dragged her feet. They were lucky if they got out by 6:30 in the evening; the strange schedule had to do with the 'special schooling' they were getting. The only good thing about the situation was that they got a recess for about two hours in the afternoon during which they could wander around the town. It was almost like a boarding school, only the students lived at home.
--"I don't know.. apparently this one is better then those schools. We learn more.. or so they say." Sierra silently agreed with Cait, she wished they had gone to a normal school instead of getting coerced into going to a full day school like this. It was tiring, and it wasn't like they got less homework because they were in school longer. If anything, the students that went there got more. She sighed and shook her head, "Anyway, let's stop complaining and start walking! Home is only fifteen minutes away." She smiled.
--Cait nodded, adjusting her glasses again. Her gray eyes glanced around slightly, hidden by the sheen of the dying sunlight. She hoped that they weren't alone in the school. She hated to be alone, and she disliked the feeling of emptiness. Trotting slightly to catch up to Sienna she thought about the encounter the other day with Jarren. Jarren St.Claire. The boy was a hunk at seventeen; tall, tanned, lean but muscled, dark hair and chocolate brown eyes. He was everything to wish for in a guy- except the fact that he was a jerk. Caitlyn had planned on telling him of the crush she had on him, she had even worked up the courage to make him cookies as an ice breaker, but the idiot had ruined it almost as soon as she saw him. He had been laughing and joking with his friends about some 'dorky' girl that 'obviously' liked him. Upon listening further she discerned it had been her they were talking about, well teasing. Her large round glasses, dusty brown hair that was constantly messy, her nervous approach to him just to say hi and scurry away, and her clothing tastes. She thought she even heard a stab at Sienna for being friends with her. Instead of backing away silently like a normal person would, Cait had walked out from behind the corner to confront them.
--It was a stupid thing to do.
--She had run the risk of getting physically injured when she stepped out and spoke to them. Her cookies were taken, of course, and then she was berated again and again, teased and taunted. It only stopped when she admitted spying on the boys locker room, and followed up with a snide remark about Jarren's pride and joy. The boys had stopped, surprised that she stood up for herself and she hurriedly turned and walked away when her crush got a murderous look in his eyes. Of course, she hadn't spied on them, but she couldn't stop her mouth from moving when it started. She had gotten called to the Headmasters room earlier the next day and called on it, but when she feigned innocence, her word was taken over Jarren's. He got in trouble and was taken out of the games for a couple of weeks until he could learn to speak the truth. Caitlyn had walked out of there with a broken heart, knowing that he hated her, and knowing that she would be scorned more then usual now that she made an enemy of a popular guy like him. Cait sighed, her head hanging more. Life as a teenage geek.
--Sienna glanced over at her friend and shook her head. She had placed her bet on a prize horse and lost, it was only natural that she would feel a bit of remorse or sadness, even anger. Caitlyn didn't show any signs of fury however, and Sienna didn't think she had the heart to bash the guy, which was what he deserved- naturally. She hit open a door with her hip, leaning heavily until it fully opened and showed the girls the outside world. Both visibly relaxed slightly, smiling and even laughing over some silent joke that passed between them. Outside the school, everything was different.
--"So what are you planning on doing this weekend?" Cait started the conversation, gazing around at the land before them as Sienna eagerly launched into a fairly detailed explanation of what she had planned. The sun glowed over the trees, casting them into darkness as it burned bright gold behind them. A sliver of gold thinly ran over the outline of the trees, making even the smallest gaps stand out in the dying light. It was one last effort the sun made before bowing it's golden head in defeat of the night, whisking away with it the sounds of the day as it collapsed beneath the growing darkness. She glanced at Sienna and raised her eyebrows at something she said, laughing when Sienna stumbled and tried to explain what she really meant.
--"I really didn't mean it that way! It's not like I'm sleeping with the guy- we're only going out! Honest!"
--"I don't even think you can call it that, Sienna..." Cait shook her head.
--Sienna frowned at Cait and responded, "Okay, fine. It's a fling."
--Cait laughed, shaking her head. "And you wonder why I'm set with only having crushes."
--"I don't wonder why you're set, I wonder how it's possible to have as many crushes as you do!"
--"Low blow, Sienna." Caitlyn laughed.
--Up ahead the park loomed, looking increasingly ominous. Cait shivered slightly even though it was late spring, rubbing her arms. She often teased Sienna about the park, but there was something markedly eerie about it. As soon as night fell, the park was known to get deathly quiet. Not even a cricket dared to rub it's legs together in its' shadow. Sienna fell to silence beside her as they both slowed and stopped, staring up at the tall dark trees. A winding path cut through the park, lit by bright lamps merrily casting dancing shadows into the deep shadows around them. It was a beautiful path during the morning hours, but it was eerie at night.
--"Well, here goes nothing." Cait took a step forward and looked at Sienna, "Think we'll meet a vampire?"
--Sienna snorted at her friends hopeful face. "If we do, I'll gladly let you get sucked dry while I run away."
--"You're a true friend Sienna." Cait grabbed Sienna's arm and dragged her forward, "But of course I'll seduce him."
--"With your flashing glasses and a toss of that messy hair, right?"
--"But of course, who could resist?"
--"What if it's a chick?"
--Cait paused at that, a thoughtful look crossed her face, "Who cares, fangs are hot on either gender.. but I suppose I'd have to share them if it was a girl huh?" She grinned at her friend smugly.
--"Oh no, I'd still let you be the one sucked dry as I ran away." Sienna laughed as they started on the pathway. Both girls got suddenly quiet, glancing around them. Slowly they walked forward, keeping their eyes open for anything out of the ordinary. About half a minute into their walk, the bends swallowed them into the forest, blocking the road from view. Sienna and Cait edged slightly closer to one another, grasping hands as they walked. Both of them were silent, as if speaking inside the park was forbidden at night. The sound of their footsteps echoed loudly as they crunched the dirt below, and they slowed, trying to keep the sound to a minimum.
--Suddenly, out of the darkness, several figures leapt, reaching for Sienna and Caitlyn with roars. The two girls screamed, automatically clinging to one another and were greeted by hysterical laughter. When they looked around they took notice to who it was that was around them. The group of boys from their school, all friends of Jarren.
--"That'll look great on your web page, San." One grinned, looking over to one of the boys who was holding a camera.
--San looked at the guy who had just spoken, "I know." He smirked and waved the camera, "And I can edit these to make even more 'fun' videos."
--The group laughed again, obviously planning something to smear the two girls' reputation. Sienna took a step away, standing in front of her friend and glowering at the boys. "Y'know, you guys are a bunch of jerks!"
--"Sticks and stones, Sienna, sticks and stones."
--"Oh, shut up, David." She snapped, crossing her arms and looking rather formidable. The boys all glanced at each other before shrugging and ignoring her. Instead they focused on Cait.
--"So you're crushing on Jarren, right? Betcha think he's a real hunk."
--Cait stood silently, hugging her arms and looking at them. They paused and picked up again.
--"Sheesh, she looks real creepy, can't even see her eyes." One of the boys started to get closer and Sienna blocked his view.
--"The way the lights reflect on her glasses makes them look headlights."
--"Can't she make 'em any smaller?"
--"Maybe she likes the geek look."
--"Would you guys just go away?" Sienna took a step forward and the guys laughed.
--"You know, there's a reason it's always quiet in this forest." It was a differant voice, a deep purr of a voice. The group of teens whirled around to see a man walk out of the shadows. "And I don't think there is anything wrong with glasses." He smiled, for he himself was wearing a pair. His hair was an odd color, the color of the moon, and it shimmered in the bright lamplight softly. The silvery locks were a medium length, dropping down and touching his chin ever so slightly. It didn't make the man look less of a man, if anything it made him look more beautiful. His skin was a dark tan, which contrasted greatly against his hair. His smile was a flash of white. He wore dark slacks with black boots, his shirt was crisp and white and it was open to the third button, showing his dark chest as he walked forward to the small group of teenagers. As he got closer it became clear that he was of very tall stature. The boys scurried back the closer he got, staring up at him.
--"Who're you?" San asked, taking the initiative to look brave, but he flinched when the man looked at him.
--"Me? I am Krishton Israael Hampden." The man bowed, placing his hand on his chest as he did so, "Pleased to meet you..." His gaze flicked over the group, showing a pair of intelligent aquamarine eyes rested behind his narrow glasses. "Might I inquire to your names?"
--There was silence a moment before Sienna stepped forward and stated boldly, "You're awfully suspicious Mr. Hampden, talking to a bunch of kids in this forest and appearing out of no where like that."
--The man chuckled, straightening. "Forgive me for my rude manners, but it seemed as if those boys were bothering you."
--"Caitlyn and I can take care of ourselves, thank you." Sienna stood tall, staring at the man, seeming to not be intimidated by his height at all.
--"Can you.." Krishton merely chuckled again, looking at the boys. "You boys aren't intending to run away with that tape, are you?"
--San clutched the camera to him and glowered at the strange man before him. "It's mine." He backed up several steps as Krishton advanced towards him.
--"The video rightfully belongs to those two young ladies, since it is about them." Krishton stopped a few feet away and held out his hand.
--"I'm not giving you the tape." He took a few more steps away and glowered at Krishton, "And if you don't go away I'll report you to the police for harassment!"
--A deep chuckle sounded from Krishton's throat, "You can't report someone who isn't here."
--"What are you talking about? Of course you're here!" San stepped forward in his frustration. The other boys hesitantly stayed where they were, staring at the scene before them.
--A thoughtful look crossed the mans face as he looked off, "I suppose in this instant in time I am, but I do not belong here." His eyes dropped to the boy in front of him and he smiled again, a hint of malice was traced along the curve of his mouth, however. "Would you like to see exactly what I mean?"
--"Y-you're insane!" San snapped, "Do you think you're an alien or something?"
--"No, I'm quite human." Krishton waved his hand, "But we're getting off topic. The tape, please."
--Caitlyn and Sienna had been slowly edging away during the talking, keeping their eyes on the man. He sure was odd. His voice had a hint of an accent, something deep. Throaty, but beautiful. In fact, everything about the man seemed to radiate beauty. Cait found herself feeling a slight touch of affection for him. He was so calm, even if he seemed to have a dangerous aura. She took another step back with Sienna, pausing only slightly as the boys started getting louder in their protests. She couldn't let this man, who had come out of no where to protect her and her friend, get in trouble with the police. Gripping Sienna's hand she moved forward swiftly, towards the man.
--"Cait-! What are you doing?" Sienna resisted slightly but went along with her friend either way.
--Cait stopped in front of the man and looked at him. "Thank you, you can go now. They're too cowardly to actually post it." She dragged Sienna past him and down the walkway, picking up speed as she went, until the two of them were running as fast as they could manage. The man's voice called out behind them, asking them to wait, but they continued to run.
--The boys’ frustrated shouts came from behind them, but soon were swallowed by the rest of the forest. When she felt as if they were sufficiently far away, Cait slowed, stumbling slightly as her legs quaked under her. She wasn't sure why she was so nervous, but something seemed to be off. Something wasn't quite right. She looked around, still grasping Sienna's hand. Sienna walked up next to her and the two silently continued to walk through the forest. The path was twisting, turning and winding through the trees.
--"Cait.. I don't remember the pathway being this confusing." Sienna whispered; her voice was eaten greedily by the shadows. She moved closer to Cait and grasped her arm as well as her hand.
--Caitlyn swallowed, silently agreeing with her friend. The lamps seemed to flicker in the darkness, more like lighted lamps then electric ones. She reached her hand up and grasped the strap to her bag tightly, feeling its rough surface made her relax slightly and she continued forward determinedly. Her eyes lit up at the sight of light ahead. "Sienna, I think that's the end!" The two picked up their pace and started trotting towards the light. Soon enough, they broke free of the inky darkness and into the sun. Both girls stopped. The land spread out around them in a flat expanse, stretching as far as they could see with small patches of forest and the occasional hill.
--"Um.." Sienna slowly turned to look at Caitlyn, who was still staring out around them. "Where are we..?"

Direction Lost
--Cait looked at Seinna as the other girls voice squeaked out to her again.
--“Cait, where are we?”
--“If I knew, I’d tell you…” Caitlyn stated, calmer then she currently felt. Sienna fell silent and the two continued to stare numbly out at the landscape around them. It was a large, relatively flat expanse; some gentle hills rose and fell in the distance dipping down into small speckles of trees that barely passed being called groves. Somewhere nearby a river flowed, its gentle sounds of rushing water the only sound besides the breeze. Cait noticed that the color of the landscape wasn’t anything like she and Sienna were used to. Instead of having colors clashing and weaving together like was customary, the land seemed almost drained of color. It was a bland tan color with green occasionally dusting over its dull plantlife, if it even had plantlife. The small groves of trees weren’t even a particularly bold color, being more of a dull pin green that blended in with the tan, making it insignificant. Sienna made a small sound and Cait turned to look at her, questioning with her eyes.
--Sienna merely shook her head then suddenly yelled to the sky. The sound was swallowed up by the emptiness, and followed by the sudden flight of birds from the small group of trees behind them.
--There was a slight movement behind them after the birds took flight, the sound of a human rather then an animal. The girls whirled around, simultaneously grabbing the others hand. They spotted the man the same time he seemed to find them, and all three froze. He was half hidden by the trees he had been coming out from behind, and the shadows fell on him in an almost mesmerizing way. The man was beautiful. His hair was a reddish color, though a strip on either side of his face was several shades lighter then the rest of his hair. His skin was pale, but not strikingly so, and he was currently without a shirt, something that made Sienna break the silent tension with a nervous giggle. The man seemed to come back to life and stepped from the trees slowly, coming fully into the girls view. He paused as soon as he was free of the shadows and spread his hands just as slowly, as if to show he had no weapons and was not a threat.
--A smile graced his full lips and he spoke. His voice was like honey, warm and sweet. “I’m sorry, did I frighten you?” Still speechless, Sienna and Caitlyn instead shook their heads, continuing to stare at the man in front of them. He smiled again, and in an identical glance, the girls decided they liked his smile and each gave her own hesitant smile back. The man then continued to talk, slow and easy, as if he might frighten them if he spoke to quickly. “I wasn’t aware anyone else was around here.” He paused, “So you jumped me quite a bit when you let out that yell.” At that comment Sienna blushed, causing the man to give another one of his easy smiles. “If you don’t mind, may I ask your names? I’m Greggory- but you may call me Greg.”
--Sienna and Caitlyn had relaxed enough to let go of each others hand. They now stood side by side watching him. Cait took the initiative to speak first, placing her hand on her chest as she spoke.
--“I’m Caitlyn.”
--“I’m Sienna.” Sienna stated her name more boldly then Cait, and even stepped forward a little in her enthusiasm.
--Greg’s body relaxed as well and he studied them with clear, calm, aquamarine eyes. “A pleasure, though I must say… I truly wasn’t aware that anyone else was around.” At that he cast his gaze around, looking at the broad blank and empty landscape. The girls both got his point and started stuttering an answer together.
--“Well you see—“
--“We were walking home—“
--“And we took a short-cut through the park—“
--“And then we got jumped—“
--“But then there was—“
--“This would be my fault, Greg.” Caitlyn recognized the deep, silky voice of the man they met in the woods.
--“Krishton…” Greg turned to face the man that appeared behind him with something close to a sigh, “What did you do now?”
--Krishton smiled to the girls, a slow smile that flashed his white teeth, “I made a mistake and ended up in a different place then intended. These two happened to pass by me before I could stop them and they happened to come here. If I had been before them it wouldn’t have been impossible to stop them, but since they were in front of me and chose to ignore my calls, I could do nothing but watch.” He paused, looking at Greg, “It would now be impossible to send them back now, it’s closed.”
--Cait stared at the two men across from her, turning to look at Sienna, who had a look of pure disbelief on her face. Slowly, Cait asked, “What do you mean… you can’t send us back?”
--The two men looked at the girls, as if suddenly re-realizing that the two were there. The red-haired man paused, his face almost carefully thoughtful as he looked at them.
--It was Krishton, however, who spoke. “This will take a bit of explaining.” He bowed to the girls, waving his hand aside eloquently, “Since you have no place to go, perhaps you’d like to sit down while we explain.”
--Sienna stiffened slightly at his movements, glancing at Cait. Her friends face was unreadable, her glasses opaque. Sienna wondered what she was thinking when the other turned slightly and looked at her with slightly amused eyes. Shall we? Caitlyn seemed to be asking. Sienna shrugged in response, There’s not much else we can do…
--Sienna and Caitlyn moved forward together, but Sienna swept by Krishton first, her head held high. Cait followed, slightly slower and looked at the still bowing man with open curiosity. He looked back, his eyes deep with hidden knowledge. She nodded to him slightly and got rewarded with a smile. Caitlyn glanced away, in search of the other man, but found he had walked ahead to lead everyone. He was chatting and giving his easy smile to Sienna, who smiled back just as easily. Caitlyn frowned, wondering how safe it was to be following two strange men to their camp. Now that she thought about it, it didn’t seem too smart. She started slightly when Krishton fell into step next to her. His gaze was forward as he started to speak.
--“I can tell that you’re the quiet one.” His startlingly crystal eyes glanced to her and he gave her an easy smile, different from his other smiles and Caitlyn suddenly wondered if perhaps he and Greg were related. “Your friend is quite loud and direct.”
--Caitlyn nodded slowly, “Yeah, she’s loud alright, but she’s really a good person on the inside.”
--“I never doubted that.” Krishton's voice seemed slightly amused, and Cait looked at him. He was still looking ahead, his eyes focusing instead on Greg, “She seems to get along with my brother quite well.”
--“You’re brother isn’t nearly as intimidating.” She spoke frankly, not so surprised to find out that the two were indeed related.
--The man next to her let out a laugh. It was a rich sound; chocolaty and deep. “I’m intimidating?”
--“Or creepy, take your pick.”
--“You’re so bold.” Krishton chuckled, flicking his gaze over to the young woman beside him.
--“I don’t like to lie.” She informed him seriously, glancing over at him as well. There was a moment of silence before they broke free of the trees and came upon a small camp. Caitlyn's gaze was taken from Krishton's as she looked around. She hadn’t expected to see such a neat place. Her eyes were curious as she looked at the place that Greg and Krishton had been camping.
--There was one tent; it was held up by a tree branch and several other broken boughs. To the left of the tent was a fire pit; it was dug out of the ground and lined with rocks. A make-shift spit was teetering on the edge of the hole and on it was a pot of water. The fire pit was filled with glowing embers, showing the fire had only recently died out. Off to the right there was a long line tied from two different trees. Several pairs of pants and a shirt or two, along with a couple socks, hung on the line. Cait looked at Sienna. Sienna was gazing around as well; her face was mildly interested as Greg explained something. Caitlyn ran hand through her hair and sighed, walking forward and sitting on a rock that seemed just suited for that. Her eyes, masked again by the light, seemed to gaze at the dead fire, but they were fixed on the tall, tan man next to her.
--“So you said you’d explain what you were saying?” She leaned forward, placing her elbows on her knees and her head on her fists. She closed her eyes, waiting for a response, than peeked out from one eye. The man chuckled, he seemed to like to do that, as he moved forward, stirring the embers until they glowed angrily. Greg’s voice had stopped when Cait had spoken up, and now she could hear his slow footprints, and could watch, as he walked over and took the stick from Krishton and set to bringing the fire to life himself. She wasn’t expecting, however, to hear Krishtons’ voice right in her ear, and she would’ve jumped too, if she hadn’t had her one eye open to catch him walking up to her.
--Krishton had settled himself in a crouch in front of her and studied her slowly. Suddenly he reached forward and took off her glasses, speaking as he did so. “It’s so much more interesting to see someone’s eyes when you’re speaking to them.” He smiled at her. “Here, you’ll learn that things are slightly different. I doubt you’ll need these.”
--Caitlyn frowned, and opened her mouth to protest when Sienna did so instead, bursting out angrily, “You can’t just do that! That’s a violation of space you giant pervert!” Sienna glared at Krishton, stalking forward and snatching Caitlyns' glasses from his hands roughly. “Get away from my friend!” The fairly snarling female demanded. The man chuckled again, moving away.
--“As you wish.” Krishton sat down on a log and glanced at Greg who had by now succeeded in making the fire and was slowly standing. “As I was saying before, there is no way for you two to return to your home just yet.”
--“And why not?” Sienna snapped, handing Cait her glasses. Caitlyn took the specs and cleaned them, but she kept them off as she glanced over and looked at Krishton. He had glasses as well, but they weren’t nearly as round or big as hers. She sighed softly and listened.
--“I must ask you to calm down, if you give me a headache from yelling, then I won’t be able to explain things to you at all.” Krishton’s voice was pleasant, but the threat was there. Sienna scowled, but sat down and waited. The man paused and continued, “It so happens that it takes a particular ion to combine with another ion – to create a particular atom – at a particular time, a very specific time and date, for the time portal to your, ah, world to open.” He opened his arms and rested his palms on his knees leaning forward, “That’s putting it simply. I could go into the rest if you’d like.”
--Sienna opened her mouth, but Caitlyn covered it and spoke first, “So you are saying that you are a scientist and you combine ions into atoms to make portals to different worlds?”
--“Yes, a scientist… of sorts.”
--“Why?”
--There was a moment of silence before Greg spoke, his voice quiet though he smiled. “That’s a bit of a complicated story that I’d rather not have told right now.”
--Silence stretched again before Sienna asked, “Well then, why can’t you just go get the things right now? You’re a scientist, right? You should have these things on hand.”
--There seemed to be nothing scientific in the sparse objects that littered the men’s camp. Cait looked at Krishton as he smiled slowly.
--“I’m a scientist, yes, but not the kind you are thinking of.” He took off his glasses and stated, “I’m afraid, ladies, that you don’t quite understand, but don’t let that daunt you. I have an idea that might just work to get you two back within your own time slot.”
---
--Sienna sighed and ran a hand through her short brown hair as she watched Greg and Krishton clean up the camp. Looking over at Caitlyn she noticed her friend still hadn’t put on her glasses. “So remind me again why we’re traveling with them?”
--Cait looked at Sienna and tucked her glasses in a pocket carefully while smiling softly, “We don’t have much of a choice?”
--“Right…” Sienna shook her head and frowned only slightly as she watched Krishton.
--Caitlyn followed her friends gaze and was silent a moment before asking, “So why don’t you like him?”
--“There’s something…” Sienna paused, looking at the other girl and shaking her head. “I don’t know. I just don’t think I can trust him.” She smiled at Cait and asked, “Why aren’t you wearing your glasses, isn’t the world thrown into fuzz when you do that?”
--Caitlyn paused before answering, “Yes. I suppose it is.” She was silent a moment. “But not here. Here my vision is fine.” The two were silent for another moment; Sienna staring at Cait and Cait looking off to the distant mountains.
--“I suppose… if it works then you should be glad.”
--“Yes. I should be glad.”
--Caitlyn continued to watch as the men finished up picking up the camp, putting things away and folding and all the related activities. She looked back to the mountains with her now vision perfect, and she thought about what they were about to do.
--“I think the two of you should accompany myself and my brother Greg-“ Krishton had been about to continue when Sienna nearly shrieked. All three looked at her in stunned silence.
--“He’s your brother?” Sienna looked from Greg to Krishton in disbelief, “That’s… that’s… impossible!”
--Krishton chuckled, “How so?”
--“Well you two look completely different to start, and Greg is so much better then you are.” Sienna sniffed the last statement.
--“Their eyes.” Cait’s voice was quiet.
--“What?”
--“Their eyes are the same.” She pointed.
--Both brothers were now looking at Caitlyn. One with astonishment written in his aquamarine colored eyes, while the others' identically colored eyes were calm and slightly amused. Sienna paused and stared before looking at Caitlyn; her mouth open, speechless.
--“Since you seem to have been quieted, I’ll continue.” Krishton chuckled again as he looked at Sienna, who glowered in return. “If you come with my brother and I, we could find the same chemicals that I used to create your time warp. It will take a little while, but I’m sure that in the end it will be worth it.”
--“Will any time have passed in our world when we go back?” Caitlyn asked.
--Krishton smiled, “No. Not a second.”
--Slowly Caitlyn nodded, looking at Sienna. The other seemed to pout a moment before nodding briskly, giving in. There was nothing else they could do.
--Sienna sighed, having thought of the same thing as Caitlyn. It would seem they didn’t have much control over what was going on now, and she didn’t much like that idea. Sienna wasn’t sure how Caitlyn always stayed so calm in these types of situations. She looked to her friend who was gazing out at the mountains beyond. A soft breeze toyed with the others hair, lifting it off her shoulders and making her look like she was something out of a romance novel. Sienna smirked and crossed her arms. Caitlyn would deny it all the way, but the evidence was there. She was a pretty person, no, beautiful. She just had no confidence.
--Caitlyn looked over and caught Sienna smirking at her. She raised an eyebrow and the other girl just grinned, walking over and standing next to her.
--“I suppose if I have to be on an adventure with anyone… I’m lucky to be on it with you.” Sienna nodded and nudged her friend, nodding to where the guys were nearly finished. The two men were talking about something and both broke out into rolling, easy laughter. “And the hot guys are a plus.” She grinned.
--Caitlyn laughed, “Yes… they are.” She smiled at her friend and stretched, “Well I’m ready if you are.” She started to walk towards Greg and Krishton as the two finished with their packing.
--“As ready as I’ll ever be, you mean?” Sienna muttered, following her friend. Cait just smiled at her.
--It was going to be interesting at first, but she was sure they could make it. It was just a journey- how hard could it be?

It's a great story, but you seem to be having a bit of trouble with spelling in the first chapter, and apostrophes in the second chapter. It's nothing major and proofreading would fix it quickly. Keep it up.

((There can't be anything really wrong with spelling... I put them in Microsoft Word and read over them before I put them up. Apostrophes suck, so... there are probably many mistakes concerning those. sweatdrop ))

The spelling could've been just homonym errors (I don't remember exactly what it was). And yes, apostrophes do suck. You really should keep going with this story. It's fabulous.
