Has anyone else heard of it? It's a three week summer theatre training program run by Ann Reinking and Debra McWalters in Tampa. Some of the master classes are taught by well known and experienced theatre figures (some of the teachers are/were Julie Andrews, John Kander, Joel Grey, Patrick Wilson, Charlotte D'Amboise, Frank Wildhorn). I have a brochure from it and I'm thinking of auditioning for it for next summer (you have to audition). It sounds really fun. What do you think about it?

I'm in the brochure, in the Ben Vereen picture. Go for it, it led me to that off-broadway show I did last year. It is more for dancers, the dancers get a lot more attention than the actors and singers, but it's a great experience.

That sounds like an amazing experience. I would do that in a heartbeat! I'd probably be in school by then though, and I won't be a theatre major so it wouldn't do me much good. You should do it though, it sounds great.

Poisonful Pearls I'd love to do it, I just dont do tap dancing...and I don't know where I can learn it in my area. Not being able to tap dance is not a big deal for auditioning. As long as you try it looks good. Do take a couple of classes in it though. The dance audition is much more heavily based on Modern and Jazz.

Could I do a Fosse combo, like Steam Heat or the Manson Trio? I have trained with a Fosse cast member, its the only type of dancing I know, other than Hip Hop.

Well, yeah, the jazz is Fosse. Except you can't pick the dance. They pick it. They teach it and then you do it. A typical dance audition.

I though you meant do you make it up for the live audition. If you are sending in a tape, then yes, you do the combo. It looks better if the combo is a real fosse combo and not just in the style of fosse. Although, I'm sure you probably already know at least one since you know the style very well.

If I had the means and the funds to go there, I'd be there in a heartbeat. Except for the fact that I can't dance to save my life, hence my contempt for them. I did ballet for a time, but after I broke one ankle then twisted the other, I've forced everything I know about dance out of my brain.
