Kida raised an eyebrow as she glanced over at Mulan. "I had forgotten that you had been living with him. How does someone like that just disappear?"
Kida laughed. "Maybe we should just get a house together and become bitter old spinsters together."

"The same way anyone does I suppose. They get up and walk away when no one's looking." Mulan smirked.
"Sounds like quite the plan there. Let's not forget the two dozen cats to follow us around so that when we pass on we can leave the house to them, and whatever neices/nephews we have to live in the house taking care of them." Mulan's face was lit up with a silly grin.
"Our wall to wall carpeting will, of course, be an off-coloured pink and maybe even blue."

"Two dozen each or two dozen between the two of us?" Kida asked, laughing along. "Ew, pink? Even as an old lady, there will not be a single pink thing in my home." She wrinkled her nose. "How did I get such a girly friend?"

"I don't know. The same way I ended up with such a tomboyish one?" Pulling herself up to her feet, she swayed back and forth on her heels a bit.
"Definitely two dozen each of course. What sort of proper spinster/crazy old ladies would we be if we didn't at least have that many?"

She stuck out her tongue at Mulan. "Tomboy, what are you talking about?" Kida pointed at her legs. "That's a real skirt right there."

"Oh, I know. If I recall, however, the first time you found yourself in one you kicked up a rather huge fit about it. Something about it being demeaning? Guess you've grown into it though." she reached over and pinched her friend's cheek.
"Little Kida is finally growing into a woman!" she chided, pulling back quickly for fear of being smacked upside the head by an angry white-haired girl.

Kida swatted at Mulans hand. "Get off me, woman," she cried.
"Besides, that first skirt was a attached to a dress for a wedding or dance or something. Completely different. And this one," she added, looking mischevious. "Is barely a skirt. You should have seen some of the people in Traverse Town stare when I went to find Jubilee!"

Giving a mock cry of shock, Mulan fell back to the ground, holding herself up with one hand, the other going to her forhead as she whimpered. "Oh no, my best friend being lead into the depths of skankness." the last part crooned from her lips as she quickly scampered away.
"I mean, I bet they were quite the stares." she grinned impishly.
