Really, I just want to show off Maps and Atlases. This band has such sick use of tapping. It's very friendly, but the vocals may throw some off.

Sure, the tapping is neat and stuff... but they sound horrible.

Not bad I guess, but not really innovative. This style has been around for a while, and they're not actually that good. Thought it was quite good when he changed the tuning for the slide guitar effect, but apart from that it was just really simple.

Try Erik Mongrain or Justin King.

As for the tuning of your guy, it's most likely tuned to Dmaj [DADF#AD] or Gmaj [DGDGBD]. I don't have my guitar to hand so I don't know.

Early MtB if you want the tapping. As they got on with releases, Dave started more into layering over crazy taps.

I suppose innovative is the wrong word. I know the acoustic set isn't all that new. However, the use of two guitars tapping to create chords, I'd never heard of that before.

Also, this Mongrain cat is so awesome. Thanks! King, on the other hand, I'm not as keen on.
