Is there any type of way to get rid of stress, other than rest.
I've tried reading, listening to calming music, sitting outside just looking at the clouds, which usually helps but doesn't this time, I just don't know anymore. Thank you so much if anyone has any ideas. 3nodding

Meditation is an excellent form of stress relief. It helps you calm down and realize that, in the grand scheme of things, most of the matters over which we fret are really nothing.
Another excellent remedy for stress is to have fun. Do somthing which you KNOW will make you feel a rush of pure glee. Sometimes when I'm stressed I'll paint, play with my neighbors dogs, hang out with friends, or watch a Hyao Miazyki film, because all of those things really help me to smile and forget all of my worries.

There are lots of ways to relieve stress. I definitely agree with what DreamerSpirit said about having fun. It's probably the best way to relieve stress. Just take a break from what you're doing, and devote time to doing things you enjoy.

Meditation will probably work well. Or you could try to sort of work things out in your mind, like why are you upset? Is this really something that you should be upset about? Is there a way to make peace with the situation?... The latter usually works best for me, especially if I'm thinking about it right before I go to bed, when the house is quiet and my mind isn't focused on everything else that's going on in my life.

im sorry i have to dissagree with those of you who say to meditate ive learned that it is better to work out your stress if you meditate then you may become more angry and then you may not have stress but you have an uncontrolable rage

Just to be the awkward one here, I'm going to say that masturbation is good stress relief... ninja
('tis the truth!)
Anyways, meditation may be bad for some people, as Kuro mentioned, but it all depends on your personality. I'm really not an angry person, so it never crossed my mind that meditation may feed the anger within one's soul, but for some it might. However, if you mediatate while focusing on positive things, you are less likely to run into such a problem.
