From this moment on, colorists will think up and decide on a bio for pets they color or create. I did not know that colorists were letting owners decide on them. That invites a pet owner to godmode which is very bad. >.>
Owners cannot have powers they shouldn't, cannot have special ranks or titles (royalty) that they shouldn't, and unless they are a REAL special edition character, they should not have names or bios that fit a character created by someone else. The reason for this is that we tend to give CREDIT on the Special Edition cards. This is not done for commissions and are not official 'based on' pets.
Commissions should be special colors only. If someone requests a faekat to have a name and bio that seems like a character from a movie, game, book, tv, cartoon, music, etc, then do NOT accept that commission. The only pets meant to be based off those things are special editions, or pets I authorize.
**Pet owners that attempt to break this rule purposely, in an attempt to get a character based pet on the sly instead of official, will be subject to suspension from the Agency. So yes, if a pet owner takes advantage of a colorist, they could be punished as well.
Please, pay attention to what is commissioned. Don't allow any pets out there based on characters not created by them. If you question the pet at all, don't accept the job.
Resolution?
Pet owners that have a pet based on a character created by someone else that was not authorized by me need to have their pets names & bios changed asap. The bios are required. Pet names may be kept if owner wishes and it's not a name already used or planned to be used by a special edition faekat.
Pet owners that have a pet based on another character that was authorized with me need to double check with me so I can veryfy it and I will need to ask you to give credit to those pets if credit was not yet given.
Colorists, if you've made faekats from commissions that were based on other characters and remember the owners, It would be nice if you could hunt them down and update/fix them appropriately.
